Wiz Khalifa holds on to UK’s number 1 single

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth have held on to the UK’s number one single with ‘See You Again’, setting a brand new streaming record in the process.

The Fast & Furious 7 track, which pays tribute to Paul Walker, sits at the top for a second week with combined chart sales of 142,000 over the last seven days.

‘See You Again’ has also broken the UK’s all-time streaming record with 3.72 million listens during the last week. The new figure beats the single’s previous record-breaking total of 3.68 million.

Khalifa said: “I was really honoured to be asked to be a part of this song in paying tribute to Paul Walker. I hope we did him proud.”

OMI’s ‘Cheerleader’ remains at number two, while Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’ stays at three.

Clean Bandit’s ‘Stronger’ debuts at number four, as Nick Jonas rounds out the top five singles of the week with ‘Jealous’.

Michael Calfan debuts at number 17 with house track ‘Treasured Soul’, and Skrillex and Diplo’s ‘Where Are U Now’ featuring Justin Bieber climbs to number 32.

Wiz Khalifa’s single ‘See You Again’ is No.1

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth have soared to the top of the UK singles chart with ‘See You Again’.

The Fast & Furious 7 track, which pays tribute to Paul Walker, is the fastest-selling single of 2015 so far, climbing 21 places with combined chart sales of 193,000.

It has also set a new streaming record, having racked up 3.68 million streams over the past week.

OMI climbs 25 places into number two with ‘Cheerleader’. The Felix Jaehn remix of the song was rush-released due to popular demand.

Last week’s number one, ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne, falls two places into number three, while Dr Kucho and Gregor Salto’s collaboration ‘Can’t Stop Playing (Makes Me Higher)’ featuring Ane Brun is at four.

‘King’ by Years & Years completes the top five, having fallen two places since last week.

Lethal Bizzle enters the chart at number 11 with ‘Fester Skank’, while Major Lazer and MO’s ‘Lean On’ jumps 11 places into 13.

Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson’s ‘Trouble’ lands at number 21, and Kodaline track ‘The One’ is at 27.

Jess Glynne tops singles chart for third week

Jess Glynne has retained her spot at the top of the UK singles chart with ‘Hold My Hand’.

The singer enjoys a third week at number one after fighting off competition from Nick Jonas, whose solo single ‘Jealous’ climbs 111 places into number two.

Years & Years’ ‘King’ rises one place to number three. It is also the most streamed song this week, racking up over 1.87 million listens.

James Bay falls one place to number four with ‘Hold Back the River’, while Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bloodstream’ rounds off the top five.

Stevie McCrorie, having led the singles midweek chart, enters at number six with his debut single – a cover of Adam Levine’s ‘Lost Stars’.

He becomes the highest-charting Voice UK winner, overtaking Andrea Begley whose version of Evanescence’s ‘My Immortal’ reached number 30 in 2013.

Pep & Rash lands at number 17 with ‘Rumors’. Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again’, featuring Charlie Puth, enters at 22 on streams alone, with the Fast & Furious 7 track streamed 1.8 million times.

Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor’s ‘Dear Future Husband’ climbs eight places to number 40, giving the singer her third top 40 hit.

Jess Glynne stays top of UK singles chart

Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’ has remained the UK’s number one single for a second week.

The song earned combined chart sales of just over 80,000 in its second week of sales, as well as 1.6 million streams.

Ed Sheeran and Rudimental’s ‘Bloodstream’ takes the second spot, climbing 24 places from last week, as James Bay’s ‘Hold Back the River’ falls to number three.

Years & Years claim the most streamed song of the week with ‘King’ at number four, and ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson rounds out the top five singles.

‘Elastic Heart’ by Sia takes number 10 and earns the singer her sixth UK top 10 single, while ‘Beautiful Me’ by Dappy debuts at number 19.

Sia then makes a second appearance in the chart as ‘Chandelier’ lands at 29 – which marks its 40th consecutive week in the top 40.

Olly Murs’s ‘Seasons’ debuts at 34, while ‘Cheerleader’ by OMI enters the chart at 37 on streaming figures alone ahead of its official release on May 3.

Former X Factor contestant Luke Friend completes the top 40 with his first single ‘Hole in My Heart’.

Jess Glynne claims first UK number 1 solo single

Jess Glynne has claimed her first ever UK number one solo single with ‘Hold My Hand’.

The track debuts in the top spot with chart sales of over 97,000, making it the singer’s third number one single in total.

Glynne previously topped the charts with Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and Route 94’s ‘My Love’.

She said: “As amazing as the other two felt, the feeling I have with this is on another level. To get a number one in my own name is one of the most insane feelings.”

James Bay’s ‘Hold Back the River’ climbs to number two, while ‘King’ by Years & Years moves to three.

‘FourFiveSeconds’ by Rihanna, Paul McCartney and Kanye West falls to number four, as Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ remains at number five.

Last week’s number one ‘Lay Me Down’ by Sam Smith and John Legend is at number six, as Sigma and Labrinth’s ‘Higher’ debuts at 12.

Rihanna’s ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ lands at number 29 after being on sale for just two days, while ‘Lamborghini’ by KSI featuring P Money is at 30.

Sam Smith and John Legend hold on to No.1 single

Sam Smith and John Legend have held firm to spend a second consecutive week at the top of this week’s UK singles chart.

The pair’s collaboration on ‘Lay Me Down’, the official 2015 Comic Relief single, retained the number one spot with a lead of 9,000 combined chart sales.

Years & Years also remained steady, keeping their number two place with ‘King’, while Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney climb two places to number three with ‘FourFiveSeconds’.

‘FourFiveSeconds’ is also the most-streamed track of the week, having notched up 1.98 million streams.

James Bay’s ‘Hold Back the River’ climbs six places to reach a new peak at number four, while the top five is completed by Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’.

The week’s highest new entry is Tough Love’s ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ which enters the chart at number 11.

Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bloodstream’ climbs 11 places this week to rank at number 26. The rise comes ahead of Sheeran premiering a new version of the song featuring Rudimental, which will be released on March 29.

Pitbull earns his 24th UK top 40 hit with ‘Time of Our Lives’ featuring Ne-Yo, entering at number 28.

Norwegian producer Kygo climbs 16 places to make his debut in the top 40 with ‘Firestone’, while MNEK enters at number 38 with ‘The Rhythm’.

Sam Smith scores No.1 single with ‘Lay Me Down’

Sam Smith has topped the UK singles chart, in the process achieving a chart double with In the Lonely Hour reclaiming the album number one.

‘Lay Me Down’, the singer’s Comic Relief collaboration with John Legend, debuts this week with a combined chart sales figure of over 105,000.

It becomes Smith’s fourth chart-topper in less than two years.

Last week’s number one ‘King’ by Years & Years falls to second place, while Flo Rida’s ‘GDFR’, featuring Sage the Gemini and Lookas, enters at number three.

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ is knocked from second into fourth place, while Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney complete the top five with ‘FourFiveSeconds’.

‘FourFiveSeconds’ is also the most streamed track of the week, having amassed 2.12 million plays over the last week.

Usher earns his 19th top 10 UK single with his collaboration with Juicy J, ‘I Don’t Mind’, landing at number eight.

Mumford & Sons are at number 20 with ‘Believe’, the lead single from their upcoming album Wilder Mind, while Calvin Harris and Haim’s ‘Pray to God’ enters at number 35.

Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne’s ‘Rather Be’ re-enters the chart at number 39, and John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ rises to number 40.

Years & Years knock Ellie Goulding off the top spot

Years & Years have claimed the number one spot on the UK Official Singles Chart with their electro-dance track ‘King’.

The three-piece, who won the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll earlier this year, achieved combined chart sales of 101,000 to take the top spot in this week’s chart.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, frontman Olly Alexander said: “I don’t think any of us thought we’d be Number 1. No one told us it would be Number 1. They said it wouldn’t get to Number 1, but it did!”

The group have knocked Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’into second place, after the Fifty Shades Of Grey track topped the chart for four weeks. However the song remained the most-streamed track of the week, with 2.15 million streams.

Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ climbs two places to reach a new high of number three, while Hozier falls two places with ‘Take Me To Church’.

The top five is completed by The Weeknd, whose Fifty Shades Of Grey track ‘Earned It’ falls one place from last week.

The second-highest new entry of the week comes from Marlon Roudette, whose UK breakthrough track ‘When The Beat Drops Out’ has already topped the charts across Europe and has now hit number 7 in the UK.

British producer Alex Adair, who has previously remixed tracks by Ella Henderson, Ed Sheeran and Jessie Ware, enters the chart at number 13 with his song ‘Make Me Feel Better’.

Kanye West enters at number 18 with ‘All Day’ following his performance of the song at last week’s BRIT Awards, while Taylor Swift , who also performed, climbs six places to number 22 with ‘Style’.

Meanwhile Imagine Dragons jump from number 60 to 33 with ‘Demons’ after it was performed on the battle rounds of The Voice UK last week.

‘Love Me Like You Do’ spends fourth week at number 1

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ remains the UK’s number one single for the fourth week running.

The Fifty Shades of Grey track is also named the most streamed song of the week with over 2.3 million streams.

Last week, the track broke an all-time streaming record, beating previous record holder Mark Ronson with ‘Uptown Funk’.

Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’ remains at number two for the third consecutive week, while ‘Uptown Funk’ by Ronson and Bruno Mars stays at number three.

‘Earned It’ by The Weeknd is still at number four, with Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ rounding off the top five.

David Guetta and Emeli Sandé’s ‘What I Did for Love’ enters the top ten at number six, and ‘Heartbeat Song’ by Kelly Clarkson debuts at seven.

‘Lay Me Down’ by Sam Smith climbs 73 places to number 15, while George Ezra’s ‘Budapest’ is at 18.

‘Something New’ by Axwell and Ingrosso is a new entry at 22, as Disciples debut at number 24 with ‘They Don’t Know’.

Madonna’s ‘Living for Love’ enters the chart at number 26 after her performance during February 25’s Brit Awards, and Paloma Faith’s ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ re-enters the top 40 at number 32.

Ed Sheeran has three tracks currently in the top 40, with ‘Bloodstream’ at 35, ‘Sing’ at 38′ and ‘Don’t’ at 40.

‘Love Me Like You Do’ spends third week as No.1 single

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ remains the UK’s number one single.

This is the third week at the top for the Fifty Shades of Grey track, which also broke a worldwide streaming record earlier this week.

In addition, the single had over 2.58 million listens in the UK during the last week, beating previous record holder Mark Ronson with ‘Uptown Funk’ (2.56 million).

Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’ claims the second spot, while ‘Uptown Funk’ by Ronson and Bruno Mars takes number three.

‘Earned It’ by The Weeknd climbs to number four, while ‘FourFiveSeconds’ by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney remains at number five.

LuvBug claim their second top 20 single with ‘Revive (Say Something)’ at number 17, while Taylor Swift’s ‘Style’ debuts at 36.

Florence + The Machine’s ‘What Kind of Man’ climbs 20 places to number 37, while David Guetta and Emeli Sandé’s ‘What I Did for Love’ re-enters the chart at number 24.

‘What I Did for Love’ featured in Friday’s (February 20) EastEnders live closing scene, which saw the track’s popularity boosted on iTunes.
