LEGO Jurassic World tops all-format chart for a third time

LEGO Jurassic World has topped the all-format gaming chart for a third time.

With no releases to speak of, LEGO Jurassic World is followed by GTA 5 in second, Elder Scrolls Online in third and Batman: Arkham Knight in fourth.

Last week’s number one Rare Replay drops down to six, below FIFA 15 and above Battlefield Hardline.

A Minecraft double-header follows at eight and nine, while Dying Light climbs three places to ten.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour and F1 2015 drop out of the top ten, charting at 11 and 12.

Rare Replay is the first Rare number one since Banjo-Kazooie

Rare has scored its first number one since Banjo-Kazooie launched on the N64 back in 1998.

Rare Replay is not only the company’s first number one in 17 years, but it’s also the first Xbox One exclusive to top the chart since the console’s launch.

It’s also the first budget game to secure the top spot since Wii Fit Plus back in 2009.

Rare Replay knocks LEGO Jurassic World down to second and Batman: Arkham Knight to third.

The Elder Scrolls Online dropped to fourth, above GTA 5, FIFA 15 and Battlefield Hardline.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, F1 2015 and Minecraft Xbox Edition complete this week’s top ten.

LEGO Jurassic World reconquers gaming chart

LEGO Jurassic World has roared back to the top of the all-format gaming chart.

It’s the second time it has topped the chart, this time replacing Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which drops all the way down to fourth.

LEGO Jurassic World‘s closest challengers are Batman: Arkham Knight in second and GTA 5 in third.

FIFA 15, Elder Scrolls Online and Battlefield Hardline climb to five, six and seven, above F1 2015 at eight.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and God of War 3: Remastered round things off at nine and ten.

Total War: WARHAMMER – The Battle of Black Fire Pass Developer Walkthrough

Total War: Warhammer developers have debuted an action-packed 10-minute video showing how the spin-off breaks out from the Total War series.

The demo showcases a huge skirmish between the Empire and Greenskin forces named ‘The Battle of Black Fire Pass’, taking a look at some of the units, spells and creatures that you can deploy on the battlefield.

The mission will be available as a unique Quest Battle mission as part of the game’s overall Grand Campaign.

The developer-commentated footage is from the game’s press demo at this year’s E3 expo, and was said to be a scripted battle from yet-to-be finalised pre-alpha code.

First revealed earlier this year, Total War: Warhammer sees the tabletop fantasy game evolve into huge-scale battles on PC, complete with thousands of warriors, gigantic monsters and flying creatures.

Released sometime in 2016, it will be the first in a trilogy of new titles, followed by two standalone instalments and a host of content packs.

The spin-off follows the release of Total War: Attila earlier this year.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour tops all-format gaming chart

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour has made its debut at the top of the all-format gaming chart.

It’s the first PGA golf game to top the chart since 2008’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’09, and is said to have sold a similar number of copies.

It knocks F1 2015 down to second and Batman: Arkham Knight down to third.

LEGO Jurassic World, GTA 5, Destiny, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Elder Scrolls Online follow at four, five, six, seven and eight.

God of War 3: Remastered is this week’s second highest new entry at nine, charting above The Witcher 3 and Minecraft: PlayStation Edition.

Elsewhere, Far Cry 4 re-enters the chart at 14, below FIFA 15 and Minecraft: Xbox Edition.

F1 2015 ends Batman’s chart reign

F1 2015 has ended Batman: Arkham Knight‘s two-week reign at the top of the all-format chart.

It’s the first F1 game to top the chart since 2010, and week one sales are up by 367% compared to last year’s Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

After a 54% drop in sales, Batman: Arkham Knight slips one place to second, above LEGO Jurassic World in third.

Elder Scrolls Online, GTA 5 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt chart in fourth, fifth and sixth, while a Minecraft double-header can be found at seven and eight.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Destiny round off this week’s top ten.

Elsewhere, a huge sales boost sees Disney Infinity 2.0 climb to 13, while WWE 2K15 re-enters at 19.

Arkham Knight remains number one, despite 74% drop in sales

Batman: Arkham Knight has maintained its grip on the top of the all-format gaming chart, despite a hefty drop in week-on-week sales.

Second week sales for the game are down by 74%, although a lack of new releases means a lack of challengers.

It’s once again followed by LEGO Jurassic World in second and Elder Scrolls Online in third, while The Witcher 3 and GTA 5 climb to fourth and fifth.

With Minecon taking place during the past weekend, Minecraft: Xbox Edition and Minecraft: PlayStation Edition both make a reappearance in the top ten again, climbing to seven and ten, respectively.

Yoshi’s Woolly World, FIFA 15 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare also appear in the top ten.

At the tail-end of the chart, Far Cry 4 re-enters at 17, while Terraria and Mortal Kombat X reappear at 19 and 20.

Arkham Knight is the biggest gaming launch of the year

Batman: Arkham Knight may not have had the smoothest launch, but that hasn’t stopped it from storming to the top of the all-format gaming chart.

In fact, the latest entry in the Arkham series is the year’s biggest-selling week-one title, comfortably beating previous best-seller The Witcher 3.

It’s also the biggest-selling Arkham game in terms of week-one sales, and Warner’s fourth number one of the year so far, after Dying Light, Mortal Kombat X and LEGO Jurassic Park, the latter of which drops to second.

Elder Scrolls Online drops one place to third, above Yoshi’s Woolly World, which is this week’s second highest new entry at four.

The Witcher 3, GTA 5 and Advanced Warfare follow at five, six and seven, while FIFA 15 drops three places to eight.

Sandwiched between Destiny and Minecraft: Xbox Edition, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward makes its debut at ten.

LEGO Jurassic World tops all-format gaming chart

LEGO Jurassic World has overtaken Elder Scrolls Online at the top of the all-format sales chart.

Elder Scrolls Online may have outperformed LEGO Jurassic World last week, but the two games have swapped places in their second week on sale.

Surprisingly, the majority of LEGO Jurassic World sales were made on Xbox 360. The game sold 38% of all copies on Xbox 360, 21% on PS4, 19% on Xbox One and 17% on PS3.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains in third place for a second week, followed by GTA 5, FIFA 15 and Payday 2: Crimewave Edition.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Splatoon, Destiny and Minecraft: Xbox Edition make up the remainder of the top ten.

The Witcher 3 remains top of the gaming charts

The Witcher 3 has maintained its grip on the top of the all-format weekly chart.

The latest game in The Witcher series remains top for a third week running, despite a 44% drop in weekly sales.

GTA 5 – which has been in the top five all year – is The Witcher 3‘s closest challenger in second, while FIFA 15 climbs to third.

Nintendo’s paint-based shooter Splatoon drops two places to four, above Battlefield Hardline, Project Cars and Farming Simulator 15.

Destiny, Minecraft Xbox Edition and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare complete this week’s top ten.

The only new entry comes in the form of Steins;Gate, which debuts at 18 after launching on PS3 and Vita in Europe.
