will.i.am claims 10th UK number one single…

will.i.am has claimed his tenth UK number one single.

‘It’s My Birthday’, which features Cody Wise, has debuted at number one in the chart, pushing Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea down to number two with ‘Problem’.

will.i.am scored his first UK number one in 2003 with The Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Where is the Love?’. He has also claimed five number ones as a solo artist.

Ella Henderson’s ‘Ghost’ also moves down one spot to number three, while The Vamps climb 35 places to number four with ‘Somebody To You’.

‘Budapest’ by George Ezra completes the top five, after dropping two places.

Jess Glynne enters the chart at number six with her debut solo release ‘Right Here’. She also has two number one singles after providing vocals for Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and Route 94’s ‘My Love’.

MKTO, also known as Malcolm Kelly and Tony Oller, have climbed 71 places with ‘Classic’ and are at number 24.

Matrix and Futurebound enter the top 40 at 38, with ‘Don’t Look Back’.

Ariana Grande hits No.1 with ‘Problem’

Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea have made chart history today (July 6), as their collaboration ‘Problem’ became the first UK Number 1 single based on both sales and streaming combined.

As of this week, the Official Singles Chart now includes audio streaming data from services including Spotify, Deezer, Napster and Xbox Music alongside physical and digital sales data.

100 streams are equivalent to one single purchase. On average, the streaming contribution to this week’s Top 40 singles was just over 20%.

‘Problem’ achieved a combined figure of 113,000, which had a streaming contribution of 6%.

Ella Henderson holds on to the Number 2 spot with her debut single ‘Ghost’, which has been streamed over a million times in the last seven days.

George Ezra rises two places to Number 3 with his single ‘Budapest’, while Ed Sheeran’s ‘Sing’ drops one place to Number 4.

This week’s Top 5 is completed by Oliver Heldens and Becky Hill’s former chart-topper, ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’.

Also in this week’s singles chart, Sia claims her first Top 10 solo hit in nearly 14 years with ‘Chandelier’, while DJ Fresh achieves his sixth Top 10 hit with ‘Make U Bounce’, featuring TC and Little Nikki.

German folk pop duo Milky Chance jump 15 places to Number 32, making their Top 40 debut with ‘Stolen Dance’.

The Vamps also enter the singles chart with the album version of their new single, ‘Somebody To You’, which has climbed three places to Number 39.

‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ is UK’s No.1 single…

Oliver Heldens and Becky Hill have scored the top-selling single in the UK this week.

‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ is the first ever UK Top 40 song for Heldens, while Hill reached number 8 in 2013 with Wilkinson’s ‘Afterglow’.

The previous number one from Ella Henderson, ‘Ghost’, moves down to number two, after being in the top spot for two weeks.

Ed Sheeran’s ‘Sing’ remains at number three, while Example enters the charts at number four with ‘One More Day (Stay With Me)’.

‘Budapest’ by George Ezra completes the top five selling songs, while Usher claims his highest-scoring single in two years with ‘Good Kisser’ at number 10.

Ed Sheeran also has two new entries in the chart with ‘Don’t’ and ‘Thinking Out Loud’, in at number 19 and 26.

‘Tremor’ by Dimitri Vegas and Martin Garrix enters at 30, while Austin Mahone and Pitbull’s ‘Mmm Yeah’ is a new entry at number 34.

From today (June 29), audio streaming such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster, 02 Tracks, Xbox Music, Sony’s Music Unlimited and rara are included in the singles chart.

Ella Henderson holds on to No.1 single

Ella Henderson has held on to the top spot in this week’s singles chart.

The X Factor star, who claimed number one with her debut single ‘Ghost’ last week, retained the crown in today’s (June 22) chart release.

She fought off competition from Australian boyband 5 Seconds of Summer, whose latest single ‘Don’t Stop’ ended up at number two.

They had been leading the chart for most of the week in one of the closest races of 2014 so far, but Henderson won out with a winning margin of nearly 3,000 copies.

Ed Sheeran falls one place to number three with ‘Sing’, while a new entry at number four sees Hertfordshire singer-songwriter George Ezra achieve his highest-charting single to date with ‘Budapest’.

Sam Smith completes the top five with ‘Stay With Me’.

Meanwhile, Gorgon City scored their second top ten single this year with ‘Here for You’ featuring Laura Welsh. Gorgon City previously reached number four with ‘Ready for Your Love’.

Demi Lovato claims her fifth UK Top 40 hit with ‘Neon Lights’, which enters at number 15, while The Kooks are at number 35 with ‘Around Town’.

Ella Henderson’s ‘Ghost’ debuts as number one UK single

Ella Henderson has claimed her first number one single.

‘Ghost’ debuted at the top of the singles chart, selling more than 132,000 copies, meaning the 18-year-old has the fourth fastest-selling single of 2014 so far.

Ed Sheeran is knocked down to the number two spot with ‘Sing’, while Tiesto is new in at number three with ‘Wasted’ feat. Matthew Koma.

‘Stay With Me’ by Sam Smith moves down two places to number four, and ‘Waves’ by Mr Probz completes the top five.

Little Mix climb 18 places to number six with ‘Salute’, while the late Rik Mayall’s ‘Noble England’ is new in at number seven thanks to a fan-led social media campaign to get it into the charts following his death.

Skepta scores his sixth Top 40 hit with ‘That’s Not Me’ feat. JME which is at number 21, and the 1996 World Cup song ‘Three Lions’ by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds has re-entered the chart at 27.

The official World Cup song, ‘We Are One (Ole Ola)’, by Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte is at number 29, while Raleigh Ritchie (Game of Thrones actor Jacob Anderson) is at 30 with ‘Stronger Than Ever’.

Zedd and Foxes re-enter at number 31 with ‘Clarity’, while Lil Wayne and Drake’s ‘Believe Me’ climbs 39 places to 36, and DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s ‘Turn Down For What’ is at number 37.

Ed Sheeran scores first UK number one single with ‘Sing’

Ed Sheeran has claimed his first ever UK number one single.

The 23-year-old shot to the top spot with ‘Sing’, knocking last week’s number one, SecondCity, down the chart.

Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ remains at number two, while ‘I Wanna Feel’ by SecondCity is down two places to number three.

‘Waves’ by Mr Probz stays at number four and John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ completes the top five selling singles.

The Neon Brotherhood are this week’s second highest entry with ‘Hope Ain’t A Bad Thing’ at number 16. The group, made up of supporters of the late cancer campaigner Stephen Sutton, released the song in honour of their friend.

Lethal Bizzle and Cherri Voncelle enter the chart at number 20 with ‘The Drop’, while Kasabian’s ‘Eez-eh’ is at 22.

‘Half Light’, by Wilkinson feat. Tom Cane, enters the chart at number 25, and R3hab, Nervo and Ummet Ozcan’s ‘Revolution’ is at 37.

Little Mix’s ‘Salute’ is this week’s highest climber, after jumping 16 places to number 24, while Jason Derulo climbs ten places to number nine with ‘Wiggle’, feat. Snoop Dogg.

SecondCity scores debut UK number one single

SecondCity has claimed his first UK number one single.

The 27-year-old house and techno producer tops this week’s chart with ‘I Wanna Feel’, knocking last week’s number one Sam Smith off the top spot.

Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ moves down to number two, while French duo Klingande get their first UK hit with ‘Jubel’ at number three.

Mr Probz slides down to number four with ‘Waves’, and Rita Ora’s ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ claims the number five spot, down one from last week.

Ellie Goulding gets her sixth top ten hit with ‘Beating Heart’ at number nine, which is taken from the Divergent soundtrack.

Twin Atlantic’s ‘Heart and Soul’ gives them their highest charting single to date at number 17, while Lana Del Ray is new in at 21 with ‘West Coast’.

At number 30 is British boyband M.A.D., who score their third top 40 single in a row with ‘Shotgun’.

‘You & I’ by One Direction is this week’s biggest climber. When Midnight Memories was first released in December the track was at number 19, but has climbed 24 places to number 22.

Sam Smith claims third UK number one single

Sam Smith has scored his third UK number one single.

The 22-year-old tops this week’s chart with ‘Stay With Me’, the third single taken from his debut album In The Lonely Hour.

‘Waves’ by Mr Probz stays at number two while Fuse ODG gets his highest charting UK single with ‘Dangerous Love’, which features Sean Paul, at number three.

Last week’s number one ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ by Rita Ora slides down to number four, while ‘Extraordinary’ by Clean Bandit (featuring Sharna Bass) enters the chart at number five.

Coldplay’s new release, ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’ enters the chart at number 15, while Afrojack’s ‘Ten Feet Away’ places at number 20.

Little Mix’s ‘Salute’ makes its Top 40 chart debut at number 35 a week before its June 1 release date, while Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pills N Potions’ enters at 38 after being on sale for just 48 hours.

German/Russian DJ and producer Zedd climbs 25 places to number 40 with ‘Clarity’, which also features Foxes.

Rita Ora claims UK number one single

Rita Ora has claimed the UK top spot for the fourth time with her single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’.

The singer, who knocks Mr Probz’s ‘Waves’ down to number two, is now tied with Geri Halliwell as the British female recording artists credited with the most solo UK number ones.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Ora said: “It’s crazy that it’s the fourth one! I’m honoured.

“I have no words! I can’t believe it. I’m just so happy that my fans are so supportive because this is a special, personal song for me.”

John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ climbs to third, while Calvin Harris’s ‘Summer’ takes fourth place. Kiesza’s ‘Hideaway’ completes the top five.

The Common Linnets are this week’s biggest climber. The Dutch Eurovision Song Contest entry, who finished second in the competition, soared 86 places to number nine with ‘Calm After the Storm’.

Meanwhile, Austria’s Conchita Wurst entered the charts at number 17 with her Eurovision-winning tune ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’.

Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen, who came third at this year’s Eurovision, is at number 40 with ‘Undo’.

Ed Sheeran’s ‘One’ – the opening track from his upcoming second album x – placed at number 20 after just 48 hours on sale.

Mr Probz reclaims UK number one single

Mr Probz has reclaimed the UK top spot with his single ‘Waves’.

The Dutch singer-songwriter was knocked off the top spot last week by Calvin Harris and his new single ‘Summer’. It’s the third time the song has topped the chart since March.

Missing out on the top spot by only 25,000 copies, ‘Summer’ drops to second.

Kiesza remains third with ‘Hideaway’, while John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ climbs to fourth, knocking Sigma’s ‘Nobody To Love’ down to five.

Pitbull featuring G.R.L. debuts at six with new single ‘Wild Wild Love’, above Paloma Faith’s ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’, which rises 13 places to seven.

Tove Lo, Cash Cash and Iggy Azalea drop to eight, nine and ten with respective singles ‘Stay High’, ‘Take Me Home’ and ‘Fancy’.

Gary Barlow’s ‘Let Me Go’ is this week’s biggest climber, rocketing 52 places to 22 after this week’s documentary with James Corden.

Other new releases include ‘Holding onto Heaven’ by Foxes at 14, which is sandwiched between ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams and Shift K3y’s ‘Touch’.
