Ava Max keeps her spot at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart as Sweet But Psycho enters its fourth week in pole position.

The track logged 8 million streams and 12,000 downloads this week, finishing 30,000 combined sales ahead of her closest competition.

Celebrating her first UK chart-topper, the US singer told OfficialCharts.com:

“We are Number 1 in the UK! I can’t believe I’m saying it, and I can’t believe I’m even holding this award! I want to tell everybody that I’m working super hard in the studio for you guys to release a debut album this year for all my Avatars. I love you so much.”

Meanwhile, Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ Nothing Breaks Like A Heart climbs a place to a new peak at Number 2.

This week’s highest new entry goes to Sam Smith and Normani’s new collaboration, Dancing With A Stranger, at Number 4. The entry marks Smith’s ninth Top 5 single and Normani’s first as a soloist (third including her singles with Fifth Harmony).

Calvin Harris also scores a big new entry this week as Giant ft. Rag’n’Bone Man debuts at Number 7, Harris’ 26^thTop 10 single, and Jax Jones’ Play with Years & Years cracks the top tier, lifting three spots to Number 8.

French DJ Gesaffelstein makes his first UK Top 40 appearance with Lost In The Fire ft. The Weeknd at 9, while this week also welcomes Westlife back to the Official Chart; the group’s first single in seven years Hello My Love opens at 13 and earns them a 27^th Top 40 hit.

Hackney music collective NSG leap 11 places to 14 with Options ft. Tion Wayne, and Longshot, the lead single from Catfish & The Bottlemen’s upcoming third album, zooms 54 places to 25.

Finally, rising star Lewis Capaldi vaults 37 spots to 29 with Someone You Loved, earning him a second Top 40 single, US rapper Flipp Dinero moves up 12 to 36 with his breakthrough hit Leave Me Alone, and Khalid’s Saturday Nights from his Suncity EP hops six places to enter the Top 40 at 38, boosted by a remix featuring country singer Kane Brown.

Ava Max’s breakout hit Sweet But Psycho lands a third week at the top of the Official Singles Chart thanks to another bumper week of streams.

Sweet But Psycho notched up 7.6 million plays over the last seven days, helping the US singer finish over 27,000 total sales ahead of Ariana Grande’s former chart-topper thank u, next at Number 2.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Nothing Breaks Like A Heart from Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus climbs one rung to a new peak of 3, while Post Malone’s Wow. also hits a new high at 4, pushing his own single Sunflower ft. Swae Lee to Number 5.

Drill MC Headie One lands his first ever Top 10 single with 18HUNNA ft. Dave, this week’s highest new entry at 6; James Arthur and Anne Marie’s Rewrite The Stars lifts to a new peak of 7; George Ezra climbs six slots to 8 with Hold My Girl, now his fifth Top 10 hit; and Freya Ridings’ Lost Without You hits its peak position of Number 9 for a fifth time.

Jax Jones and Years & Years reach a new peak too, climbing eight spots with Play (11); Chris Brown returns with Undecided (15); Meek Mill and Drake climb back into the Top 20 with Going Bad (18).

Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s One Kiss – the biggest song of 2018 – jumps 15 spots to Number 22, while East London collective NSG rocket 55 places to Number 25 with Options ft. Tion Wayne – their first Top 40 single.

BRITs Critics’ Choice nominee Lewis Capaldi impacts the Top 40 for the first time with Grace (33), 2002 by Anne-Marie vaults back up 32 positions (37), and Jess Glynne ascends 31 places with I’ll Be There (40).

Congratulations to LadBaby, who claims this year’s Official Christmas Number 1 with We Built This City.

The 31-year-old YouTube sensation and dad blogger – real name Mark Hoyle – plus his wife Roxanne and two sons, recorded their own version of Starship’s 1985 hit as an ode to sausage rolls (rather than rock and roll). Proceeds from the single go to foodbank charity The Trussell Trust.

LadBaby’s We Built This City shifted 75,000 combined sales this week to take the top spot, and despite a fiercely close race all week, finishes 18,500 ahead of his closest competition after a last-minute push. 93% of his sales were downloads, with the remainder made up from audio and video streams.

We Built This City is also the first novelty song to claim the festive top spot in 18 years, since Bob The Builder’s Can We Fix It? in 2000.

Celebrating with OfficialCharts.com, LadBaby said: “Thank you everybody in the UK who has got a sausage roll to the top. I can’t thank you enough not only for downloading the song but for raising money for such an incredible charity. I’m honestly speechless and lost for words. Thank you so much. YES MAAATE!”

Mariah Carey leads the charge of festive classics in this year’s Official Christmas Chart with All I Want For Christmas Is You at Number 4, Last Christmas by Wham! is at 7, and Ariana Grande’s Imagine is new at 8.

More Christmas favourites feature in this week’s Top 40: The Pogues’ Fairytale of New York (11), Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? (13), Michael Buble’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (16), Elton John’s Step Into Christmas (18) and Leona Lewis’ One More Sleep (19).

Shakin’ Stevens’ 1985 chart-topper Merry Christmas Everyone is at 20, Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree places at 21, Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas climbs to 22, Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me lifts seven places to an new peak at 23, and Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday is at 24.

Ariana Grande’s smash hit thank u, next stretches its lead at the top spot to a sixth week as the battle for this year’s coveted Christmas Number 1 kicks off.

Though Grande’s closest contender Ava Max remains at Number 2 with Sweet But Psycho, she has managed to reduce the gap between the top two singles to less than 9,000 combined sales.

Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus have surged up the Top 10 and claim the most downloaded track of the week, leaping six spots to Number 4 with Nothing Breaks Like A Heart. Mariah Carey edges up a place with All I Want For Christmas Is You at 5.

Wham’s Last Christmas leaps to Number 7 – up seven from last week, while Post Malone rebounds back into the Top 10 with Sunflower ft. Swae Lee from Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse at Number 9. The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl’s yuletide classic Fairytale of New York flies eight places to Number 10.

Further down the chart, Band Aid’s Do They Know Its Christmas zooms 11 placings to 15, Michael Bublé’s rendition of It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas rockets 14 spots to 16, and Ellie Goulding and Diplo are up four with Close To Me ft. Swae Lee at 17.

Ariana Grande extends her reign at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with thank u, next on to a fifth week, setting a new streaming record.

The track notched up a massive 14.9 million streams this week, 7.9 million of which were from its music video, released last week. It’s the highest number of plays in a week in UK chart history, overtaking Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, which racked up 14.2 million streams in a single week last year.

Grande’s fifth week at Number 1 gives her the longest-reigning chart-topper for a female artist since 2008, when Katy Perry managed a five-week stint with I Kissed A Girl.

Meanwhile, Ava Max climbs to Number 2 with Sweet But Psycho, up four positions from last week, and Halsey’s Without Me hits a new peak at Number 3.

This week’s highest new entry goes to X Factor champion Dalton Harris, whose winner’s single The Power Of Love ft. James Arthur debuts at Number 4.

US rapper Meek Mill scores his first UK Top 40 single with Going Bad ft. Drake at 17, 6ix9ine features a second time with Mama ft. Nicki Minaj and Kanye West at 29, and Tom Walker returns to the Top 40 following his X Factor final performance with Leave A Light On at 31.

Finally, eight Christmas favourites feature on the chart this week, led by Mariah Carey, who zooms 28 places to Number 6 with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
