One Direction knock Little Mix off the No.1 spot

One Direction have knocked Little Mix off the top spot with their new single ‘Drag Me Down’ while setting a new streaming record.

The group’s first single without Zayn Malik has scored the highest first-week streams for a new single ever in the UK, notching up over 2 million streams.

Calvin Harris and Disciples’ track ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ has leapt four places since the midweek tally to claim number two in the charts.

Little Mix’s ‘Black Magic’ shifts to number three while Lost Frequencies’ ‘Are You With Me’ is at four and Years & Years’ ‘Shine’ rounds off the Top 5.

Elsewhere The Weeknd has scored his second Top 10 single with ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ at 8 while Disclosure and Sam Smith’s track ‘Omen’ leaps from 29 to 13.

Joe Stone claims this week’s biggest climber, lurching 172 places to 17 with his house reworking of Montell Jordan’s ‘This Is How We Do It’.

Finally, it’s good news for Shaggy who’s scored his first UK Top 40 hit in 13 years with ‘I Need Your Love’ at number 36.

Mission Impossible 5 tops UK box-office

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation has overthrown Pixar’s Inside Out to top this week’s UK box office.

Tom Cruise’s fifth outing as spy Ethan Hunt took in £5.3m, ahead of Pixar’s latest with £3.5m.

Southpaw was up to third from fourth last week, taking in £1.1m, while Ant-Man and Minions dropped to fourth and fifth respectively.

Secret Cinema’s The Empire Strikes Back, which re-entered the top 10 last week, has gone up a place to eighth, taking in £295,275.

LEGO Jurassic World reconquers gaming chart

LEGO Jurassic World has roared back to the top of the all-format gaming chart.

It’s the second time it has topped the chart, this time replacing Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which drops all the way down to fourth.

LEGO Jurassic World‘s closest challengers are Batman: Arkham Knight in second and GTA 5 in third.

FIFA 15, Elder Scrolls Online and Battlefield Hardline climb to five, six and seven, above F1 2015 at eight.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and God of War 3: Remastered round things off at nine and ten.

Little Mix claim No.1 single for a third week

Little Mix’ spell has held its charm, as ‘Black Magic’ claims its third consecutive week at number one.

The girl group have fended off the competition for another week, outselling its nearest competitor – Years & Years’ ‘Shine’ – by almost 7,000 copies to claim the top spot.

Meanwhile Lost Frequencies’ ‘Are You With Me’ slips a place to three as Sigma’s Ella Henderson-featuring ‘Glitterball’ lands at four to claim this week’s highest new entry.

Walk The Moon complete the Top 5 with ‘Shut Up & Dance’ as they enjoy their eighth week in the Top 10.

Foxes enters the charts at 25 with her new single ‘Body Talk’, while former JLS star Aston Merrygold makes his solo debut at 28 with ‘Get Stupid’.

Elsewhere Disclosure’s ‘Omen’, their second track to feature Sam Smith, is at 29 after its video release this week. The track will get an official release on August 21.

Finally, Ellie Goulding’s Fifty Shades Of Grey track ‘Love Me Like You Do’ hops six places to re-enter this week’s Top 40.
