Dying Light remains all format gaming No.1

Dying Light has retained the top spot in the all-format gaming chart.

Techland’s survival horror title spends a second week at number one, placing ahead of Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 15.

Call of Duty: Advance Warfare and Dragon Ball XenoVerse drop two spots each after suffering significant sales dips. They now occupy fourth and fifth place respectively.

Zombie Army Trilogy, the only new entry in this week’s top 40, debuts at eight.

Meanwhile, Saints Row 4 Re-Elected/Gat Out of Hell climbs a total of 13 places to return to the top 20 at number 18.

Years & Years knock Ellie Goulding off the top spot

Years & Years have claimed the number one spot on the UK Official Singles Chart with their electro-dance track ‘King’.

The three-piece, who won the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll earlier this year, achieved combined chart sales of 101,000 to take the top spot in this week’s chart.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, frontman Olly Alexander said: “I don’t think any of us thought we’d be Number 1. No one told us it would be Number 1. They said it wouldn’t get to Number 1, but it did!”

The group have knocked Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’into second place, after the Fifty Shades Of Grey track topped the chart for four weeks. However the song remained the most-streamed track of the week, with 2.15 million streams.

Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ climbs two places to reach a new high of number three, while Hozier falls two places with ‘Take Me To Church’.

The top five is completed by The Weeknd, whose Fifty Shades Of Grey track ‘Earned It’ falls one place from last week.

The second-highest new entry of the week comes from Marlon Roudette, whose UK breakthrough track ‘When The Beat Drops Out’ has already topped the charts across Europe and has now hit number 7 in the UK.

British producer Alex Adair, who has previously remixed tracks by Ella Henderson, Ed Sheeran and Jessie Ware, enters the chart at number 13 with his song ‘Make Me Feel Better’.

Kanye West enters at number 18 with ‘All Day’ following his performance of the song at last week’s BRIT Awards, while Taylor Swift , who also performed, climbs six places to number 22 with ‘Style’.

Meanwhile Imagine Dragons jump from number 60 to 33 with ‘Demons’ after it was performed on the battle rounds of The Voice UK last week.

Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel beats Fifty Shades of Grey

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has knocked Fifty Shades of Grey from the top of the UK box office.

The sequel – which stars Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Richard Gere – earned £3.8m over its opening weekend.

Fifty Shades of Grey took £2.2m in second place, bringing its UK total to more than £30m in just three weeks.

Meanwhile, Will Smith’s latest release Focus earned £1.9m to finish the weekend in third place.

Big Hero 6 and Shaun the Sheep Movie are at numbers four and five respectively.

Jennifer Lopez’s erotic thriller The Boy Next Door debuts at number seven, while horror film It Follows enters the chart at eight.

Dying Light tops the gaming chart above Dragon Ball

Dying Light has topped the all-format gaming chart after finally launching at retail.

The game, which made its digital debut last month, is the third new gaming franchise to top the chart in the past three weeks.

It is followed by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which remains second despite a drop in sales, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse, which enjoys its biggest UK launch to take third.

The Order 1886 drops to fourth, above GTA 5, FIFA 15 and Far Cry 4.

Evolve and a Minecraft double-header complete this week’s top ten.

At the tail-end of the chart, The Last of Us Remastered re-enters at 15, above Disney Infinity 2.0 and WWE 2K15.

‘Love Me Like You Do’ spends fourth week at number 1

Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ remains the UK’s number one single for the fourth week running.

The Fifty Shades of Grey track is also named the most streamed song of the week with over 2.3 million streams.

Last week, the track broke an all-time streaming record, beating previous record holder Mark Ronson with ‘Uptown Funk’.

Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’ remains at number two for the third consecutive week, while ‘Uptown Funk’ by Ronson and Bruno Mars stays at number three.

‘Earned It’ by The Weeknd is still at number four, with Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ rounding off the top five.

David Guetta and Emeli Sandé’s ‘What I Did for Love’ enters the top ten at number six, and ‘Heartbeat Song’ by Kelly Clarkson debuts at seven.

‘Lay Me Down’ by Sam Smith climbs 73 places to number 15, while George Ezra’s ‘Budapest’ is at 18.

‘Something New’ by Axwell and Ingrosso is a new entry at 22, as Disciples debut at number 24 with ‘They Don’t Know’.

Madonna’s ‘Living for Love’ enters the chart at number 26 after her performance during February 25’s Brit Awards, and Paloma Faith’s ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ re-enters the top 40 at number 32.

Ed Sheeran has three tracks currently in the top 40, with ‘Bloodstream’ at 35, ‘Sing’ at 38′ and ‘Don’t’ at 40.
