Drake’s reigning Number 1 single, God’s Plan, goes from strength to strength, enjoying its best streaming performance yet this week. 7.6 million plays of God’s Plan were recorded in the UK across the past seven days helping the track to its fifth week at the Official Chart summit.

Rudimental sit at Number 2 for a third straight week with These Days featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, while the rest of the Top 5 is made up by songs reaching new peaks: Dua Lipa’s IDGAF lifts one to Number 3, Portugal. The Man’s Feel It Still rises two places to Number 4, and All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and Sza rockets six slots to Number 5, becoming Kendrick’s highest charting single in the UK as a lead artist.

Marshmello and Anne-Marie net their third and second UK Top 10 singles this week with FRIENDS, shooting 10 placings to Number 9, while Camila Cabello’s Never Be The Same rebounds four positions to Number 10 following her Graham Norton and Dancing on Ice performances.

The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther soundtrack single Pray For Me climbs to a new peak of Number 11, while there’s also a new personal best for Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton’s Say Something following their BRIT Awards performance (22). Rising star Bazzi also hits new heights this week – Mine charges 10 spots to Number 27.

Country music star Maren Morris scores her first UK Top 40 single with The Middle, her collaboration with electronic acts Zedd and Grey at Number 37, and finally, Hailee Steinfeld and BloodPop’s Fifty Shades Freed single Capital Letters makes its Top 40 debut at Number 39.

Drake has extended his reign over the Official Singles Chart this week with God’s Plan.

The track, taken from his Scary Hours EP, was streamed 6.7 million times this week to claim a fourth stint at Number 1.

God’s Plan is Drake’s third UK Number 1 single, following What’s My Name? with Rihanna in 2010 and One Dance in 2016.

It means Rudimental have to settle for a second week at Number 2 with their latest single These Days. The song, which features Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, is the group’s fourth Top 10 single.

This Is Me from The Greatest Showman continues to scale the chart, up three places to a new peak of Number 3, and Portugal. The Man’s Feel It Still also lifts three places to a new high at Number 6 for its 29th week on the Official Chart.

New entries and high climbers

With the final instalment of the Fifty Shades films released last Friday (Feb 9), theme song For You by Liam Payne & Rita Ora reaches a new peak this week, up 10 places to Number 8. The climb earns Rita her 12^th Top 10 and equals an Official Chart record – more on that here.

Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s All The Stars from Marvel’s newly-released Black Panther film zooms 17 places to Number 11, while the rapper’s collaboration with The Weeknd, Pray For Me, climbs two spots to 13.

Marshmello and Anne-Marie’s brand new single Friends bags this week’s highest new entry at Number 19, while Memphis-born rapper Blocboy JB lands his first UK Top 40 single this week – Drake collaboration Look Alive debuts at 23.

Finally, new US singer-songwriter Bazzi jumps 13 places to land his first UK Top 40 with Mine, rapper Mist rebounds six spots to 38 with Game Changer, and James Bay’s new single Wild Love opens at 39.

Drake scores a third stint at Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart with God’s Plan.

The lead single from the Canadian’s recent Scary Hours EP, God’s Plan notched up 7.1 million streams to eclipse the nearest competition, Rudimental (2).

The British four-piece’s latest single These Days, featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen ended the week as the most downloaded single of the past seven days. These Days is Rudimental and Macklemore’s fourth UK Top 10 single, and Jess’ ninth.

Ramz’s Barking slides one place to Number 3, Dua Lipa holds firm at Number 4 with IDGAF, and Eminem and Ed Sheeran’s former chart topper River slips two to Number 5.

New entries and high climbers

Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble’s This Is Me jumps two places to Number 6 this week, a new peak for the movie soundtrack single, one position ahead of Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s Finesse which rebounds two to Number 7.

Portugal. The Man infiltrate the Top 10 for the very first time with Feel It Still, rising four placings to Number 9 some 28 weeks after it first entered the Top 100, and right behind them is Camila Cabello – Never Be The Same lifts four places to return to the Top 10 at Number 10.

Not3s’ My Lover reaches a new personal best at Number 14, ahead of The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther soundtrack single Pray For Me, this week’s highest new entry at 15. Meanwhile, Mabel’s Fine Line featuring Not3s enters the Top 20 for the first time at Number 17.

There are new peaks for G-Eazy and Halsey’s Him & I (22) and Justin Timberlake & Chris Stapleton’s Say Something (24), followed by a new Top 40 entry from rapper B Young; Jumanji climbs 16 rungs to Number 27. One slot behind is Kendrick Lamar and Sza’s All The Stars which leaps nine places to claims a new personal best at 28.

Finally, Check ft. RAYE becomes Kojo Funds’ first headline Top 40 single, new at Number 33, and in its 16^th week since release, Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso’s Let Me Go featuring watt and Florida Georgia Line breaks into the Top 40 at Number 39.

Drake notches up a second week at Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart with his latest single God’s Plan.

The track, one of two new songs released by the rapper and singer a fortnight ago, was streamed 7.6 million times (this week’s most streamed song) to bag a second week in pole position.

Drake makes two more appearances in this week’s Official Singles Chart; on Migos’ Walk It Talk It from his new album Culture II, new at Number 31, and at 36 with Diplomatic Immunity, the other new track from his Scary Hours EP.

Drake’s music has been streamed over 2.5 billion times in the UK to date – check out his Official Top 40 most streamed songs here.

Meanwhile, rising star Ramz holds firm at Number 2 with his breakthrough hit Barking, and Eminem’s River ft. Ed Sheeran is at 3.

Completing this week’s Top 5 are Dua Lipa’s IDGAF, holding at 4, and Craig David’s I Know You ft. Bastille, up five places to Number 10.

Norwegian singer and winner of BBC’s Sound Of 2018 Sigrid claims her first Top 10 single with Strangers, which rises four places to Number 10 and claims this week’s most purchased single. Close behind at 11 are Rudimental, who zoom 22 places with These Days ft. Jess Glynne and Macklemore.

Also making a big climb this week are US band Portugal. The Man with Feel It Still, which rises seven spots to a new peak at 13, and newcomer Mabel sees a ten-place boost for her new single Fine Line ft. Not3s at 22.

Further down, Liam Payne & Rita Ora’s For You rebounds six places to 23 following the release of the song’s music video, Justin Timberlake earns his 26^th UK Top 40 hit with Say Something ft. Chris Stapleton at 32, and Birmingham rapper Mist makes his Top 40 debut with Game Changer, new at 35.

Congratulations to Drake, who claims the Number 1 spot on this week’s Official Singles Chart with his new single God’s Plan.

The rapper and singer beat Eminem and Ramz to the finish line this week, both of who also had the top spot in their sights earlier this week.

Ending the week with 6.5 million streams, God’s Plan gained momentum across the week following its surprise release as part of his Scary Hours EP last Friday evening. The Canadian’s latest track is his third UK Number 1 following Rihanna duet What’s My Name (2010), and the 15-week Number 1 smash One Dance (2016).

Elsewhere in the Top 5, London rapper Ramz sits at Number 2 for a second week with Barking, while Eminem’s River, ft. Ed Sheeran falls two places to Number 3. Dua Lipa nets a second UK Top 5 hit of her career, as IDGAF rises 10 slots to Number 4, and Jason Derulo’s Tip Toe featuring French Montana jumps three to Number 5.

Aside from Drake, two more songs make their Top 10 debut this week. The Oscar-nominated single This Is Me by Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble lifts five to Number 8, while Jax Jones bags his third UK Top 10 single with Breathe. Featuring Norwegian singer Ina Wroldsen, the song leaps three spots to Number 9.

From one Norwegian to another, BBC Sound Of… 2018 winner Sigrid climbs 12 rungs to Number 14 with Strangers following her performance on The Graham Norton Show. Portugal. The Man also claim their first UK Top 20 single this week; the US group scale five positions to Number 20 with Feel It Still.

There are new peak positions this week for J Hus’ Bouff Daddy (26), G-Eazy’s collaboration with Halsey, Him & I (27), and Steel Banglez’s Bad with Yungen, MoStack, Mr. Eazi and Not3s (30).

Rising star Mabel is a new entry at Number 32 with Fine Line ft. Not3s, Rudimental’s new single These Days ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen lands at 33, and The Chainsmokers make their eighth UK Top 40 appearance with Sick Boy (40).

Congratulations to Eminem, whose latest single River takes the Number 1 spot on this week’s Official Singles Chat.

The track, which features Ed Sheeran, earns the rapper his ninth UK Number 1 – extending his record for the most chart-topping singles for a rapper. Eminem’s previous Number 1s are: The Real Slim Shady (2000), Stan (2000), Without Me (2002), Lose Yourself (2002), Just Lose It (2004), Like Toy Soldiers (2005), Smack That (2006, with Akon), and The Monster (2013, with Rihanna).

River is taken from Eminem’s ninth studio album Revival, which debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart last month.

Eminem ends Ed Sheeran’s six-week reign at the top with Perfect, which slips to Number 3. As Ed guest features on River, he effectively replaces himself at the top, with River becoming his 5th UK Number 1. The last artist to manage such a feat with Justin Bieber, when DJ Khaled’s I’m The One (which he featured on) was knocked off the top by Despacito, his collaboration with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

Meanwhile, South London rapper Ramz jumps two places to Number 2 with his breakthrough hit Barking, Clean Bandit’s I Miss You ft. Julia Michaels reaches a new peak at 4, and Bruno Mars’ Finesse remix ft. Cardi B lifts two spots to Number 5.

Two more singles make their Top 10 debut this week: Camila Cabello’s Never Be The Same vaults 22 places to Number 7, and Jason Derulo’s Tip Toe ft. French Montana breaks the Top 10 for its eighth week in the Top 40, up four spots to Number 8 to earn the star his 13^th UK Top 10.

Dua Lipa’s latest single IDGAF edges closer to the Top 10, zooming 24 places to Number 14, Raye’s Decline jumps seven places to a new peak at 15, and Portugal The Man’s Feel It Still shifts seven spots to 25.

This year’s BBC Sound Of winner, Sigrid, scores her first Top 40 single today; Strangers vaults 68 spots to 26.

Three brand new tracks debut inside this week’s Top 40: BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Jorja Smith is at 34 with her Stormzy collaboration Let Me Down, Troye Sivan lands his first Top 40 as a headliner with My My My! at 38, and Camila Cabello’s She Loves Control, taken from her new self-titled album, bows at 40.

Ed Sheeran has scored a sixth week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Perfect.

The singer-songwriter remains locked at the top, securing the most downloads and streams of the week. Ed’s closest competition was himself (partly) for a second week in a row, as his Eminem collaboration River holds firm at Number 2. In doing so, Ed has now broken the record for most weeks spent at Number 1 and 2 concurrently, with 14 weeks.

Rita Ora rebounds one slot to Number 3 with Anywhere, ahead of Ramz’ Barking, up four to Number 4, and Clean Bandit’s I Miss You featuring Julia Michaels completes the Top 5.

New entries and high climbers

Bruno Mars’ remix of Finesse featuring Cardi B becomes his 11^th UK Top 10 single and first in over a year at Number 7, while Craig David is also new in the Top 10 this week – I Know You ft. Bastille earns Craig a 14^th Top 10 and Bastille a third.

Filthy, the first taste of Justin Timberlake’s new album Man of the Woods scores JT a 25^th UK Top 40 hit at Number 15, one position ahead of Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble’s This Is Me; rising 12 placings to Number 16, the song won a Golden Globe earlier last Sunday.

Not3s’ My Lover climbs five rungs to Number 18 to mark his first footing in the UK Top 20, while two more songs from The Greatest Showman soundtrack make their mark – The Greatest Show at Number 23, and Rewrite The Stars pops in at Number 26.

J Hus’ Bouff Daddy (27), Camila Cabello’s Never Be The Same (29), and Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man (32) reach new peaks, and there’s more good news for Kendrick Lamar and SZA; their Black Panther soundtrack single All The Stars debuts at Number 33.

Finally, three songs enter the Official Chart Top 40 for the very first time. Steel Banglez’ Bad featuring Yungen and MoStack flies seven to Number 37, Dua Lipa’s new single IDGAF vaults to Number 38, and US rapper Cardi B lands at Number 40 with Cartier Bardi featuring 21 Savage.

Ed Sheeran has claimed the first Number 1s of 2018 on both the Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart.

Perfect was the most downloaded and streamed track of the last seven days, and spends a fifth consecutive week at Number 1. By also topping the Official Albums Chart with ÷, this marks the fourth time the album and one of its tracks have scored the Official Chart double.

÷ ended 2017 as the most purchased record on CD, vinyl, and download formats, and was also the most streamed album of the year.

Official Singles Chart

As the multitude of Christmas songs exit the Official Chart, several tracks make big gains this week, 11 of which reach new peaks. The highest charting track to score a personal best is Big Shaq’s Man’s Not Hot, up three to Number 3.

Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels’ I Miss You (6), 17 by MK (7), and Ramz’s Barking (8) all scale the Top 10 higher than ever before, while there are new Top 20 peaks for: Craig David & Bastille’s I Know You (15); Dave’s No Words ft. MoStack (17); and Jason Derulo’s Tip Toe ft. French Montana, which becomes Jason’s 16^th Top 20 entry at Number 19.

Decline by Raye ft. Mr. Eazi and Not3s’ My Lover both re-enter the Top 40, hitting new highs at Numbers 22 and 23 respectively, while Jax Jones’ latest single Breathe featuring Ina Wroldsen makes its Top 40 debut at Number 24. P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma is one slot behind at Number 25, jumping 17 places.

Next, three new Top 40 entries sit back-to-back: This Is Me by Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble is at 28; J Hus scores his fourth Top 40 hit with Bouff Daddy at 29, and lovebirds G-Eazy and Halsey are at 30 with Him & I.

Portugal The Man’s Feel It Still lifts to a new PB of Number 35 in its 23^rd week on chart, two placings ahead of Camila Cabello’s Never Be The Same at Number 37. Finally, The Greatest Show, another single from The Greatest Showman soundtrack is at Number 40, gifting Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya their first chart credits.

Congratulations to Ed Sheeran, who completes his ‘Perfect’ year by claiming the most coveted chart accolade of the year – the UK’s Official Christmas Number 1.

The Official Charts Company can confirm that Perfect wins this year’s festive crown with 85,000 combined sales acquired this week, split across 45,000 downloads and 6 million streams. Earlier this month, Ed released new versions of the track featuring Beyoncé and Andrea Bocelli.

In a video message to his fans, Ed tells OfficialCharts.com: “Thank you very much for making Perfect Christmas Number 1. This is an actual dream come true and I’m very proud and happy. Thank you so much and have a very Merry Christmas, happy holidays and a Happy New Year.”

The track has today (Dec 22) been certified double platinum by the BPI, achieving 1.23m combined UK sales and streams to date. Perfect has held off several competitors from the snowy summit this week; its nearest rival, Eminem’s River (which also features Ed), finishes at Number 2, while a campaign to get Wham’s Last Christmas to the top to mark one year since George Michael’s death finishes at Number 3.

Elsewhere, Mariah Carey’s 1994 festive classic All I Want For Christmas Is You is at 4, and rapper Big Shaq climbs two places to Number 6 with Man’s Not Hot following a special Christmas Edition release of the track.

Also earning a place in 2017’s Official Christmas Singles Chart Top 10 is The Pogues’ Fairytale Of New York ft. Kirsty MacColl at 7. It’s the first time the song has been in the Top 10 in ten years – it peaked at Number 2 upon its original release in 1987.

A further 13 Christmas classics make up this year’s Christmas Top 40, including the original 1984 version of Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? at 12, Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (14) and Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas Everyone (15).

Elton John’s 1973 hit Step Into Christmas achieves a new personal best at Number 18, Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas finishes at 20, Michael Buble’s rendition of It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is at 22, and Wizzard’s I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday lands at 23.

Further down, Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody (29), Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me (32), John & Yoko’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (35), Leona Lewis’ One More Sleep (36), Andy Williams’ It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (37) and Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmastime (38) and all earn a spot in the Christmas Top 40.

Christmas has well and truly arrived on the Official Singles Chart, with 17 festive tracks impacting this week’s Top 40, putting several classics in the running as strong contenders for next Friday’s Official Christmas Number 1 2017 crown.

While Ed Sheeran reigns at Number 1 with Perfect for a second week, he has some serious competition on his hands for the XmasNo1 spot next Friday.

Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas rises three places to Number 2, surpassing its modern personal-best of Number 4 that it managed in 2007, and matching its chart peak that it achieved way back in 1994.

Wham! complete the Top 3 with Last Christmas at Number 3, marking the first time the song has been in the Official Chart Top 5 since January 1985. Last Christmas is the best-selling single never to have reached Number 1, but with a Facebook campaign to get it to the Christmas top spot kicking off today, could all that be set to change next week?

One other Christmas song sits in this week’s Top 10 – The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York, up three to Number 7.

Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas is at Number 12, its highest entry since December 1985, while Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree vaults 27 places to Number 15, its highest chart placing for 54 years since 1963. Shakin’ Stevens is also scaling the Top 40, up five to Number 16 with Merry Christmas Everyone.

Two yuletide songs also break into the Top 20 for the very first time this week. Michael Buble’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas lifts 27 slots to Number 18, while Step Into Christmas by Elton John (19) becomes his 46^th UK Top 20 hit – the song originally peaked at Number 24 in 1973.

Wizzard hop two positions to Number 22 with I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, while Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas speeds to a new personal best, climbing 45 rungs to Number 23. Santa Tell Me, the modern festive favourite from Ariana Grande, also hits new heights at Number 29, and Slade shift from 62 to Number 30 with Merry Xmas Everybody.

Five more holiday singles also re-enter the Top 40 this week: John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Happy Xmas (War is Over) (35); Leona Lewis’ One More Sleep (36); It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year by Andy Williams (37); Bing Crosby’s White Christmas (38); and Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmastime (39).
