Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber make it eight weeks at Number 1

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber reach eight consecutive weeks at Number 1 with I Don’t Care, as Ed claims three places in this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 10.

The pair deny Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s Senorita (2) the top spot despite the latin-pop single improving on its performance last week by 3,700 combined sales.

Ed Sheeran takes highest new entry honours at Number 3 with Beautiful People ft. Khalid, marking Khalid’s tenth Top 10 single and Ed’s 24th. Ed’s third Top 10 this week, Cross Me ft. Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock, is at Number 6.

Stormzy’s latest single Crown climbs one to Number 4 following his landmark Glastonbury headline slot on June 28, Mabel secures her third Top 10 with Mad Love, climbing 5 places to Number 8, and Sigala and Becky Hill also reach the Top 10 for the first time with Wish You Well, up two to 9.

After 18 weeks in the Top 100, AJ Tracey’s slow-burner Ladbroke Grove enters the Top 20 after climbing five places to Number 16. Dominic Fike rises six to Number 20 with 3 Nights, Young T & Bugsey reach a new peak with Strike A Pose ft. Aitch at 22, and Martin Garrix’s Summer Days with Macklemore and Patrick Stump jumps seven spots to Number 26.

Further down, Chris Brown’s new single Don’t Check On Me feat. Justin Bieber and Ink debuts at 29, Mark Ronson and Camila Cabello rise six places to 31 with Find U Again, and Miley Cyrus rebounds seven places to 33 with Mother’s Daughter.

Finally, Kygo’s remix of Higher Love featuring vocals from Whitney Houston lands the late vocalist her first posthumous Top 40 hit since 2012, debuting at Number 36.

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber hold off Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber extend their reign at Number 1 with I Don’t Care to a seventh consecutive week on this week’s Official Singles Chart.

The song, which features on Ed’s upcoming No.6 Collaborations Project (out July 12), leads its closest rival by 8,500 combined sales. Additionally, Ed’s Cross Me ft. Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock reaches a new peak at Number 4 following the release of its music video.

Meanwhile, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello sashay into second place with Señorita, claiming this week’s highest new entry. It’s the pair’s second collaboration, following 2015’s I Know What You Did Last Summer.

As Stormzy prepares to headline Glastonbury tonight, he claims two Top 5 singles: Vossi Bop (3) which debuted at Number 1 in May, and brand-new single Crown (5).

Elsewhere, Sigala and Becky Hill rise three places to the cusp of the Top 10 at 11 with Wish You Well, while Mabel’s Mad Love climbs three to 13.

Bugzy Malone claims his first Top 20 single with Kilos feat. fellow Mancunian rapper Aitch at 20, Lil Nas X’s Panini – the follow-up to chart-topper Old Town Town – opens at 25, and UK drill rappers Russ MB and Digga D impact at 28 with their new track Mr Sheeen.

Mocking It by Jay1 debuts at Number 19 – the Coventry rapper’s second Top 20 hit after Your Mrs (third including his feature on the remix of Russ and Tion Wayne’s Keisha & Becky).

Finally, Nicki Minaj claims her 35th Top 40 track with Megatron at Number 34, and Mark Ronson’s Find U Again ft. Camila Cabello vaults 17 places to Number 37 following the release of his latest album Late Night Feelings.

I Don’t Care extends its reign at Number 1

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber celebrate their fourth week at Number 1 as I Don’t Care keeps its grip over the Official Singles Chart.

Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road holds firm at Number 2 for a sixth consecutive week, while the rest of the Top 5 remains unchanged.

There are seven new entries landing in this week’s Top 40 with Katy Perry scoring the highest of the week with Never Really Over, making its debut at Number 13. Skepta scores three Top 40 entries following the release of his Ignorance Is Bliss album: What Do You Mean ft. J Hus lands at Number 14, Greaze Mode with Nafe Smallz, rebounds 29 places to a new peak at Number 18, and Bullet From A Gun jumps 36 places to Number 32.

Elsewhere, Lewis Capaldi’s Bruises debuts at 16, Sigala and Becky Hill’s Wish You Well makes another leap up the chart, lifting 15 spots to 24, and James Arthur’s latest track Falling Like The Stars enjoys a ten-place climb to 25. Miley Cyrus’s Mother’s Daughter debuts at 31, earning the US star her 15th UK Top 40 single.

Finally, D-Day veteran and folk singer Jim Radford debuts at Number 72 with The Shores of Normandy – a song about his experience at the Battle of Normandy released to mark its 75th anniversary this week.

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber claim a second week at Number 1 with I Don’t Care

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber share the crown once again this week as I Don’t Care holds on to the Official Singles Chart top spot for a second week.

The single, which will appear on Ed Sheeran’s upcoming collaborations album, posts another impressive week of sales and streams, notching up 98,000 combined sales.

Lil Nas X remains at Number 2 for another week with Old Town Road but boasts his biggest week so far following the release of the song’s music video – racking up 85,000 combined sales including 12.8 million streams.

Lewis Capaldi has three tracks in the Top 10 following the release of his debut album: former Number 1 Someone You Loved (3) which has its biggest week so far with over 74,000 combined sales, Hold Me While You Wait (5), and Grace (9), which flies 17 places to its highest ever position.

Elsewhere in the chart, Jax Jones claims his fifth Top 10 single with All Day And Night, his collaboration with Martin Solveig and Madison Beer.

Tyler The Creator takes highest new entry honours with Earfquake at 17, following the release of his latest album Igor. Another track from the record, I Think, lands at 30.

Ellie Goulding’s Sixteen climbs four to a new peak at 21, Digga D’s No Diet jumps eight places to 25, and Halsey debuts at 26 with Nightmare, marking her seventh Top 40 single. Da Beatfreakz, Swarmz, Deno and Dappy’s collaboration Motorola (32) climbs three, ahead of Mark Ronson’s Late Night Feelings ft. Lykke Li (33), which jumps six places.

Further down, Summer Days by Martin Garrix, Macklemore and Patrick Stump enters the Top 40 for the first time after vaulting 27 places to Number 36, becoming Martin Garrix’s tenth Top 40.

DJ Khaled earns his fifth Top 40 single with Jealous ft. Chris Brown and Lil Wayne, and finally, rising US rapper and singer Dominic Fike claims his first ever UK Top 40 hit with 3 Nights, flying fifteen places to Number 39.

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care scores huge Number 1 debut

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber storm to Number 1 with their new collaboration I Don’t Care, scoring an impressive 123,825 combined sales.

It’s only the second chart-topping single this year to open with more than 100,000 combined sales – Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings debuted at Number 1 with 126,240 in January. I Don’t Care racked up 13 million streams and 22,000 downloads in the UK this week.

I Don’t Care extends Ed’s tally of Number 1s to six, and Justin’s to seven, putting the Canadian on a par with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Elton John and U2 who all have seven UK chart-toppers.

Meanwhile, Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road holds at 2, and last week’s Number 1, Stormzy’s Vossi Bop, slips to 3.

Production duo Europa – comprising of Jax Jones and Martin Solveig – edge closer to the Top 10 with All Day and Night ft. Madison Beer, lifting two spots to Number 11, and Skepta lands his eleventh Top 40 entry with Greaze Mode ft. Nafe Smallz at Number 22. The track features on the rapper’s upcoming album Ignorance Is Bliss, out on May 31.

Further down, Ellie Goulding’s Sixteen hops six places to a new peak at 25, James Arthur’s new single Falling Like The Stars opens at Number 34, earning him an eleventh Top 40 hit, and Motorola by Da Beatfreakz ft. Swarmz & Deno is new at 35.

Finally, Mark Ronson’s Late Night Feelings ft. Lykki Li makes its first Top 40 appearance, leaping eight places to Number 39.

Stormzy’s Vossi Bop scores second week at Number 1

Stormzy dances his way to a second week at Number 1 with the infectious Vossi Bop.

Vossi Bop, Stormzy’s first chart-topping single, clocked up over 11 million listens in its second week, out-streaming its closest rival, Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road, by 1.3 million plays.

Following the exciting receipt of his first Number 1 award, Stormzy surprised fans at London’s Brixton Academy last Friday (May 3) when he appeared on stage with fellow chart-topping rapper Dave to perform the hit.

Lewis Capaldi claims two simultaneous Top 5 singles for the first time this week – first up, former chart-topper Someone You Loved, which goes back up one to Number 3, and right behind it at Number 4, Hold Me While You Wait, both this week’s highest new entry and most downloaded track.

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes debuts at Number 9 with If I Can’t Have You, his fifth Top 10 hit.

Logic earns his second Top 40 single with Homicide ft. Eminem which debuts at 15, while South London rappers Hardy Caprio and Digdat say Guten Tag to the Top 20 with their new collaboration going straight in at 18.

Finally, Ellie Goulding rises five to 31 with Sixteen, and Bugzy Malone rockets 60 slots to Number 34 with new single M.E.N II to become the Manchester rapper’s first Top 40 hit.

Stormzy scores debut Number 1 with Vossi Bop

Stormzy’s Vossi Bop has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with massive streaming figures.

Clocking up 12.7 million listens, Stormzy claims the biggest week of streams ever for a rapper – smashing the previous figure set by Drake’s In My Feelings by over two million – and the fifth biggest streaming week of all time.

The Glastonbury headliner also claims the second biggest first-week combined sales of 2019 so far with 94,500 – second only to Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings which opened with 126,000 combined sales in January.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Stormzy said, “Words don’t really do it justice. I’m genuinely, for once in my life, speechless!  My supporters have had my back like crazy – this is all you guys, thank you so much”

Previous chart topper Old Town Road by Lil Nas X drops to Number 2 this week, ahead of Taylor Swift’s Me! ft. Brendon Urie which debuts at Number 3, becoming Taylor’s ninth Top 5 hit.

Meanwhile, Dave’s Location ft. Burna Boy (10) returns to the Top 10; Jax Jones, Martin Solveig and Madison Beer rise further with All Day And Night (12), and Pink moves up two with Walk Me Home (16), as she also scores her third Number 1 album in the UK with Hurts 2B Human.

Wildlife charity RSPB claim the week’s highest sales after shifting 23,500 CD singles and downloads of their birdsong track Let Nature Sing, which debuts at Number 18. Earlier this week Diplo remixed the track on BBC Radio 1.

Rapper Digga D climbs seven with No Diet (20); Lil Dicky is up three with his star-studded track Earth (21); and Rita Ora and Kygo’s Detective Pikachu single Carry On (30) rises nine places.

Finally Don’t Worry Bout Me by Zara Larsson enters the Top 40 for the first time, up thirteen to 34, and Ellie Goulding’s Sixteen climbs seven to Number 36.

Lil Nas X lands a second week at Number 1

Lil Nas X lassos a second week at Number 1, with his viral hit Old Town Road racking up its biggest streaming week yet.

The country-trap single has clocked up 10.3 million audio and video plays in the last seven days – making it the third highest one-week streaming figure of 2019, behind Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings and Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored.

Piece Of Your Heart by dance newcomers Meduza feat. Goodboys jumps two places to Number 2, pushing Lewis Capaldi’s former Number 1 Someone You Loved down to 3.

SOS by Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc climbs six places to Number 6, becoming the late DJ’s tenth Top 10 single; Jax Jones, Martin Solveig and Madison Beer’s collaboration All Day And Night climbs eight spots to 14; and What I Like About You by Jonas Blue feat. Theresa Rex is this week’s highest climber – rising twenty places to 23 and landing Jonas Blue his eighth Top 40 single.

The week’s highest new entry comes from US rapper Lil Dicky with Earth (24). Featuring an impressive list of vocal cameos including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran, proceeds from the comedic Earth Day track are going towards environmental causes.

Pretty Shining People by George Ezra vaults nine places to 25, while English rapper Digga D debuts at Number 27 with No Diet.

Finally, Kygo and Rita Ora’s new summer dance track Carry On debuts at Number 39 – a landmark 20th Top 40 single for Rita, who first entered the charts back in 2012 with her feature on DJ Fresh’s Number 1 Hot Right Now.

Lil Nas X rides Old Town Road to the top of the Official Singles Chart

Viral rapper Lil Nas X claims Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Old Town Road, clocking up 9.9 million streams this week.

The country-inspired rap hit takes the top spot with 80,000 combined sales following a perfect storm of viral challenges on the social media app Tik Tok, some controversy and a remix featuring country icon Billy Ray Cyrus.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, Lil Nas X said:

“I cannot believe how amazing my song is doing on the UK charts. I’m so thankful to everyone who has got behind Old Town Road. I’m still blown away by all the support for the track – thank you for listening!”

Lil Nas X’s feat ends Lewis Capaldi’s seven-week run at Number 1 with Someone You Loved, slipping to Number 2, though he did earn the most downloads of the week.

Meduza & Goodboys climb one step closer to the chart summit with Piece Of Your Heart at Number 4, and Keisha & Becky by Russ & Tion Wayne vaults 23 places to Number 7 after a remix featuring Aitch, JAY1, Sav’O and Swarmz was released last Friday. Marshmello lands his fifth Top 10 single and Chvrches claim their first with Here With Me up one place at Number 10.

Avicii claims this week’s highest new entry with SOS ft. Aloe Blacc (12). The single is the Swedish DJ’s first posthumous single to be released since his death one year ago on April 20, 2018.

K-pop band BTS and US singer Halsey debut close behind with their record-breaking single Boy With Luv (13). This week saw the official music video for the song smash the YouTube record for the most views globally in the first 24 hours, with 74.6 million.

Meanwhile, rising star Alec Benjamin hops five places with Let Me Down Slowly to 31, and Who Do You Love by the Chainsmokers ft. 5 Seconds of Summer (36) re-enters the Top 40 after jumping ten places.

Lewis Capaldi scores a seventh week at Number 1

Lewis Capaldi keeps his place at the top of the charts with Someone You Loved, denying Lil Nas X the Number 1 spot with his viral hit Old Town Road.

Someone You Loved logs 69,000 combined sales this week, including 8.16 million streams, to score a seventh week at the top of the Official Singles Chart. Lewis now has one of the longest-running Number 1 singles for a Scottish act in the UK – third behind Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around (15 weeks) and Calvin Harris’s One Kiss ft. Dua Lipa (8 weeks).

It means Lil Nas X has to settle for second place with Old Town Road The hip-hop-meets-country song, which went viral thanks to the ‘Yeehaw Challenge’ meme where people film themselves transforming into cowboys, vaults 37 places to Number 2.

Elsewhere in this week’s Top 10, production trio Meduza lift five spots to Number 5 with Piece Of Your Heart ft. Goodboys, and Khalid’s Talk leaps seven places to a new peak of 9. Following the release of his new record Free Spirit, album track My Bad makes its first Top 40 appearance, jumping 27 places to 32.

Ariana Grande & Victoria Monet’s Monopoly makes a 17-place climb to Number 23, and Jax Jones’ All Day And Night ft. Martin Solveig & Madison Beer shifts 16 places to make its Top 40 debut at 25 – his seventh Top 40 to date. It’s also Martin’s seventh Top 40 entry and a first for US singer Madison.

Further down, South Korean girl group Blackpink debut at Number 33 with Kill This Love, their highest UK singles chart position yet, Let Me Down Slowly by rising star Alec Benjamin hops ten places to make its Top 40 debut at Number 36, and Jonas Brothers bow at 39 with their latest release Cool.
