Harold Perrineau has joined the cast of Sons of Anarchy playing "a critical role".
Perrineau will make his appearance on the show's fifth season as Damon Pope, "the ex-drug kingpin whose daughter was murdered by Tig in the Season 4 finale", reports TVLine.
Back in February, the FX biker drama was picked up for a sixth season and a possible seventh season.
Perrineau starred in Lost as Michael Dawson, who was one of the survivors of the plane crash on a mysterious island in the South Pacific.
Dawson spent his time on the island looking for his son, who also survived the plane crash, after he was kidnapped by the Others.
Perrineau can be seen next in Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming Osama bin Laden movie, scheduled for a December 2012 release.
