Hotel Transylvania 2 has checked straight in at the top of the US Box Office.


The comedy sequel took $47.5m in its first week, knocking last week's number one Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials off the top spot.

Elsewhere, Robert De Niro's The Intern lands at two with $18m, while The Scorch Trails is down to three with $14m.

Everest climbs one place to four with $13m, and Black Mass rounds out the top five with $11.5m.

Horror film The Visit is down to six with $6.75m, The Perfect Guy is at seven with $4.75m and War Room is at eight with $4.25m.

Finally, The Green Inferno is at nine with $3.5m, while Sicario is at ten with $1.7m.
