‘Minecraft’ tops all-format chart for a third week

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has retained its place at the top of the all-format chart for a third week running.

Minecraft‘s third week on top is Microsoft’s longest unbroken chart reign since Forza Motorsport 2 back in 2007.

With the new Premier League season about to kick off, FIFA 13 climbs two places to second, above The Smurfs 2 in third.

Tales of Xillia is this week’s highest new entry at four, overtaking Animal Crossing: New Leaf and The Last of Us at five and six.

Elsewhere, as fans prepare for the August 23 launch of Saints Row 4, its predecessor re-enters the chart at 20.
