‘Les Misérables’ soundtrack returns to albums No.1

The Les Misérables cast recording has climbed back to the top of the UK album chart.

The soundtrack to Tom Hooper’s movie adaptation previously spent two weeks at number one, and has climbed one place back to the top.

The Courteeners had been number one in the midweek chart with their third studio album Anna, but they have to settle for sixth position at the end of the week.

Jake Bugg’s self-titled debut LP climbs four places to two, while Biffy Clyro’s Opposites falls two from last week’s number one to three.

Emeli Sandé’s Our Version of Events is a non-mover at four, and celebrates a full year inside the Top 10. Fleetwood Mac’s reissued Rumours drops two to five.

Frightened Rabbit score their biggest album yet, with Pedestrian Verse entering at nine.

Richard Clayderman’s first album in over a decade Romantique is new at 13.Eels grab their 11th UK Top 40 album, with Wonderful Glorious arriving at 14.
