Les Misérables has topped the UK box office for the fourth consecutive weekend.
Tom Hooper’s movie musical – starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe – pulls in £2.7 million to see off competition from Django Unchained and Denzel Washington’s new drama Flight.
Steven Spielberg’s Daniel Day-Lewis-led biopic Lincoln charts at number four, while Ang Lee’s fantastical drama Life of Pi completes the top five.
Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts’s The Impossible continues its strong box office run, taking in £758,024 to land at number six. The drama has now grossed more than £12 million in the UK since its cinema release on January 1.
Elsewhere, Bullet to the Head debuts at number nine and the critically-panned Movie 43 slips down three places – losing 50% in ticket sales – to number ten.
