Emeli Sandé returns to albums No.1 with ‘Our Version Of Events’

Emeli Sandé has recaptured the UK album chart top spot with debut record Our Version Of Events.

The ‘Next To Me’ singer finished on top for a second Sunday after switching places with Adele’s 21, this week’s runner-up.

+ by Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die are non-movers at three and four, while Meat Loaf returns to the chart at five with his 12th studio album Hell In A Handbasket.

The late Whitney Houston’s Essential collection continues to climb, finishing at seven from last week’s 17. Coldplay and Adele, meanwhile, are both down as the buzz surrounding their Brit Awards performances begins to fade.

Mylo Xyloto slips two to eight and Adele’s 2008 debut 19 stumbles from seven to ten in its 155th week on the chart.

David Guetta sneaks closer to the single digits with Nothing But The Beat, up two to 11, as Jessie J’s Who You Are dips three to 13.

Maverick Sabre’s Lonely Are The Brave and Doo Wops & Hooligans by Bruno Mars are down six and four respectively to 14 and 15, just ahead of El Camino by The Black Keys, up four to 16.

At the back end of the chart, Rizzle Kicks ascends to 18 from 23 with Stereo Typical, their former collaborator Olly Murs drops three to 19 with In Case You Didn’t Know and Ben Howard’s Every Kingdom locks in the top 20 after rising four from 24.
