Dallas has been given a second season by TNT. Rizzoli & Isles has also been recommissioned, getting a fourth season.
The Ewing clan's recent return to television - which sees legends of yesteryear Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy (JR and Bobby Ewing) joined by new additions such as Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson - has been a ratings success.
Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, said: "Dallas has been a success for us on every level - pitch-perfect writing, smart directing and buzz-worthy performances by a new generation of stars and their iconic counterparts.
"With Dallas's top-flight ratings, robust growth through time-shifted viewing and the extensive online buzz, it's clear the Ewings of Southfork have once again captured the imagination of viewers."
Both Dallas and Rizzoli & Isles have had 15 episodes ordered for their next seasons.
Speaking about the latter's renewal, Wright said: "Anchoring a new night in its third season, Rizzoli & Isles has proven itself to be a strong and enduring hit, not only in terms of the great storylines and performances, but also in terms of the show's stellar ratings.
"We're thrilled that Rizzoli & Isles will continue to be a vital part of the TNT lineup."
