Janina Gavankar has been cast in Arrow.
Gavankar will play a vice cop who has a history with Oliver (Stephen Amell), reports Zap2it.
Based on the DC Comics series Green Arrow, The CW's new show follows Oliver, a billionaire who starts to fight crime with a bow and arrows.
Gavankar is set to appear in a multi-episode arc where her character is featured in a plotline about a "sketchy new drug called Vertigo", which also introduces a new enemy for Oliver played by Seth Gabel.
Gavankar previously appeared in True Blood and The L Word.
Arrow airs on Wednesdays at 8pm ET on The CW.
