After months of planning its big X-Files comeback, US network Fox dropped the ball on Sunday night.
Fox had scheduled the sci-fi classic's revival after the NFC championship game - usually one of the most-watched programmes of the year behind the Super Bowl.
Although it couldn't help the game slightly overrunning, the post-game coverage carried on until 10.24pm, which is nearly half an hour late.
It's fair to say that the majority of X-Files fans couldn't think of anything worse than watching football analysis while they desperately awaited their favourite show to return.
Plus, Fox hardly promoted the premiere during its game coverage aside from a few promos.
X-Files fans did the only thing they could do in the situation: vent their frustration on Twitter.
