Atlantis has been given a US premiere date by BBC America.



The broadcaster has confirmed that it will air the second series opener mere hours after the show returns to UK screens on BBC One.

Series two's premiere will air on BBC America on Saturday, November 15, 9pm ET.

The episode is airing as part of BBC America's 'Supernatural Saturday' programming block.

Atlantis's new episodes take place one year after the series one finale, with Ariadne (Aiysha Hart) still at odds with Queen Pasiphae (Sarah Parish).

Jason (Jack Donnelly), Pythagoras (Robert Emms) and Hercules (Mark Addy) join forces with Ariadne once again in order to restore calm to the kingdom.

It was previously confirmed that Amy Manson (Torchwood) has been cast as Medea, while Vincent Regan (The Musketeers) will play Dion.
