ABC has renewed Once Upon a Time for a fifth season, just a few weeks ahead of season 4's finale.
Co-creator Adam Horowitz broke the news on Twitter, although a cast member prematurely announced that Once had been renewed in April.
Last month, Prince Charming actor Josh Dallas let slip to KTLA that they will resume filming the fantasy drama in July.
Once Upon a Time recently returned to UK fans via Netflix. All three previous seasons are now available on the streaming service, as well as existing episodes from season four and new episodes added shortly after US broadcast.
There are just two episodes left of the current season, which has seen the arrival of Patrick Fischler as the mysterious Author.
Once Upon a Time continues on Sunday at 8pm on ABC.
