ER star Sherry Stringfield joins Under the Dome

Former ER star Sherry Stringfield is joining the cast of Under the Dome.



Stringfield has signed up for the recurring role as Pauline, a woman who might hold the key to the origins of the mystical dome.

This new role will reunite her with former ER producer Neal Baer.

Under the Dome showrunner Baer said of the casting: "I'm thrilled after all these years to be working again with Sherry Stringfield.

"We had a blast on ER together and I know Sherry will bring the same grace, spirit and intensity to her new, pivotal role on Under the Dome."

Stringfield joins new season two cast members Karla Crome and Eddie Cahill.

The series - which airs on Channel 5 in the UK - returns to US screens on Monday, June 30 at 10/9c.
