Mike & Molly has been accused of airing a 'racist' joke.
The CBS sitcom, which stars Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell, has angered the Navajo Nation with a line that appeared to suggest that Native Americans are drunks.
Mike's mother on the show (Rondi Reed) said: "Arizona? Why would I move to Arizona? It's nothing but a furnace full of drunk Indians."
The group has demanded an apology from CBS, according to TMZ.
"For a show like this displaying us in a negative light is just unacceptable, they are taking a shot at the entire state of Arizona and its indigenous people," a rep told the website.
"An apology would be the right thing to do, but some damage done can't be fixed in an apology."
CBS has yet to respond to the claims. The show airs on Mondays in the US at 9:30pm.
