According to The AP, Cyrus is to guest host the March 5 instalment of the NBC sketch comedy series.

A separate musical guest will appear alongside the Hannah Montana actress for the episode.

Saturday Night Live has lampooned the star in recent months with a series of Miley Cyrus Show sketches, where cast member Vanessa Bayer portrays a precocious version of the 'Who Owns My Heart?' singer.

Guest host Russell Brand and musical guest Chris Brown headline this weekend's edition of SNL, which airs from 11.30pm ET/10.30pm CT on NBC.
