Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi will return to the world of Tangled for a new Disney Channel animated series.
The television spinoff will be set between the events of the 2010 movie and its sequel Tangled Ever After, with Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel.
Rapunzel realises she has a lot to learn about life before taking over the kingdom of Corona in the Tangled series, and decides to put her marriage on hold to travel the globe.
She is joined by her friend Eugene (Zachary Levi), her chameleon Pascal, the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs and her handmaiden Cassandra on new adventures.
The series will feature original music from the original movie's composer Alan Menken and lyric writer Glenn Slater.
Tangled is in production now, with a premiere on the Disney Channel plotted for 2017.
