Garfunkel and Oates has been axed after one season.



The comedy series, starring Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci, was not picked up for a second run by cable network IFC, reports Deadline.

Lindhome and Micucci are known as comedy-folk duo Garfunkel and Oates.

The show followed their personal and professional lives, as they attempted to achieve their aim of breaking into Hollywood.

It ran for eight episodes, with the finale airing in September last year.

Mike Phirman, Natasha Leggero, Busy Philipps, Sarah Burns, Artemis Pebdani and Rich Fulcher were among the recurring cast.

Last month, IFC renewed comedy sketch show Portlandia for a sixth and seven season.
