CBS has picked up a TV adaptation of Bad Teacher, the 2011 film starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.
The premise of the comedy series mirrors that of the movie, with Diaz's character to be played by The Guilt Trip and Fringe actress Ari Graynor.
The show follows the inappropriate, foul-mouthed central character (Graynor), who becomes a teacher after her wealthy husband leaves her.
The show is most likely to be screened in midseason, as the network's fall schedule is already established.
CBS recently announced six new series for the 2013-14 season, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Williams comedy Crazy Ones.
However, Rupert Grint comedy Super Clyde and a Beverly Hills Cop series were passed on by the network.
