The Dictator star Anna Faris has confessed that she used to be "terrible" at keeping her skin safe from the sun.

The comic actress recently teamed up with skincare brand Jergens as the face of their 'Places You'll Glow' campaign, which helps to raise funds for the Skin Cancer Foundation.

When BellaSugar asked Faris if she ever "practised safe sunning", she answered: "No, I was terrible about it for years! I used to lay out all of the time and I would go to the tanning booth.

"I had a makeup artist tell me that she was seeing a lot of sun damage in my face, and that really scared me. So I started using more products with SPF, I stopped tanning, and I started using the Jergens Natural Glow products."

Faris previously shared that she would like to start a family with husband Chris Pratt but finds it hard to do so while starring in movies.

She can be seen next in The Dictator opposite Sacha Baron Cohen, which arrives in cinemas on May 11 in the US and May 18 in the UK.
