The 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll' actor will play Caesar, the test subject ape who leads the revolt against the humans.

The role was originally played by Roddy McDowell in 1972's Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.

James Franco, Frida Pinto and John Lithgow have all been confirmed for the project, which is scheduled for release on June 24, 2011.


Wot, less than a year to shoot the entire movie and then finish it in post-production? :roll:
