Neighbors has debuted at top of the US box office this weekend with $51m.



Starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne and Zac Efron, the film knocks The Amazing Spider-Man 2 off the top spot.

The comic book sequel drops to second place with $37.2 million. Its has earned $147.9m since debuting at number one.

The two films are followed by The Other Woman in third place. The comedy, starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton, earned $9.2m.

The Other Woman, with a total earning of $61.7m, is another former number one.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier remains in the top ten, landing in fifth place with $5.6m. It has earned approximately $244.9m so far.

Elsewhere, Mum's Night Out debuts at seven with $4.2, followed by Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return in eighth with $3.7m.

Divergent is slowly slipping out of the top ten, dropping from seven to nine with earnings of $1.7m.

Heaven is for Real (4), Rio 2 (6) and Brick Mansions (10) round off the top ten.
