Shutter Island has remained at the top of the US box office for a second consecutive week.

The Martin Scorsese-directed mystery grossed over $22.2 million over the weekend.

New debuts this week include Cop Out, starring Bruce Willis, at number two with $18.5 million and horror movie The Crazies at number three with $16.5 million.

Avatar slips to number four, surpassing the $700 million mark after 11 weeks in domestic release.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Valentine's Day claim the number fifth and sixth spots respectively, while Jeff Bridges's Crazy Heart lands at number ten with $2.5 million.
