Lauren Ambrose has been cast as the fourth and final female lead in ABC's Broad Squad pilot.
The police drama follows Boston's first female patrol officers in 1978.
Ambrose, who played Claire Fisher in Six Feet Under, will play a cop named Eileen, reports
Deadline.
She'll star alongside True Blood's Rutina Wesley, Glue's Charlotte Spencer and Magic Mike's Cody Horn.
Switched at Birth's Kenneth Mitchell also joins the pilot as Eileen's husband and an injured police officer, while Michael Gaston (The Mentalist) will play the precinct's captain.
Broad Squad is written by Bess Wohl and directed by Coky Giedroyc.
Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are developing the show, and executive producing with Aaron Kaplan and Len Goldstein.
