Dexter actress Aimee Garcia has been cast as the female lead in the CBS Rush Hour pilot.



The actress will join John Foo in the TV series based on the film starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

Jessika Van has also been cast in the show, reports Deadline.

The pilot will follow Lee (Foo), a Hong Kong police officer sent to Los Angeles in order to join forces with Carter, an arrogant cop with little interest in having a partner.

It is written by Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick, who are executive producing alongside director Jon Turteltaub

Garcia has been cast as Didi Diaz, an LAPD sergeant who used to be Carter's partner but once she became a mum chose to leave patrolling the streets.

Van will play Lee's younger sister Kim who is also an officer with the Hong Kong Police Department.
