Get ready for more of Jim Gordon’s adventures – Gotham has been picked up for a second season…



Here’s one we’ve been expecting for a while – Gotham will be returning to Fox for a second season. We’re only halfway through season one, of course, but the numbers continue to be very strong for a new series, especially a new comic book show.

The news came at a Television Critics Association event over the weekend, where Fox also renewed Brooklyn Nine-Nine and (after only two episodes) Empire.

Of Gotham, Co-CEO of Fox’s television wing Dana Walden confirmed that the powers-that-be “love the show” and that the only note they’ve given to Bruno Heller and co. is to "keep doing what you're doing."

"We've just seen episode 14, and it just keeps getting better," Walden added.
