Jersey Shore could reportedly end after its upcoming sixth season.



Cast members on the MTV reality show were allegedly informed at the start of filming in May that a seventh run will not be produced.

Sources told In Touch that the eight-strong cast agreed with the decision to end the series, saying: "They decided to make the most of their final days at the shore."

However, an MTV spokesperson has claimed that "no decision has been made yet on another season of the show".

Doubts were previously raised over the future of Jersey Shore after Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi fell pregnant with fiancé Jionni LaValle's baby and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino entered rehab for a prescription drug problem and alcohol abuse.

Both were confirmed to be starring in Shore's sixth season back in March, though it has been rumoured that they will be phased out.

Polizzi is believed to have moved out of the Jersey Shore house after only one week of filming.
