FOX’s creative partnership with Gordon Ramsay continues to stay strong

Announced this afternoon, the network has officially renewed the unscripted series, “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back,” for a third season. Its renewal comes several months after “24 Hours to Hell & Back” wrapped up its second season back in March. Similar to its second season, the show’s third run will also be comprised of only 10 episodes.

The series, which is executive produced by Gordon Ramsay, Tim Warren, Kenny Rosen, Elvia Van Es Oliva, and Layla Smith, follows Ramsay as he travels around the country to visit struggling restaurants in his mobile kitchen and command center, Hell on Wheels. After spending some time undercover, in order to see the problems plaguing each restaurant first-hand, Ramsay and his team are given just 24 hours to redesign each restaurant’s interior, menu, and kitchen.

Premiering its first season last summer, “24 Hours to Hell & Back” has been a solid ratings performer for FOX so far. Its second season averaged the same 1.0 live + same day rating among adults 18-49 that its first season did, despite airing in the spring of this year as opposed to its debut season’s summer run.

The renewal of “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back” comes just a little over a week after one of Ramsay’s other FOX titles, “MasterChef Junior,” which just recently wrapped up its seventh season, was also renewed for its eighth.

With this renewal, Ramsay will likely have four shows airing on FOX next season, with “Hell’s Kitchen,” “MasterChef Junior,” and “24 Hours to Hell & Back” all having been renewed, and “MasterChef’s” expected to be picked up for another season too.
