Example has collected his first UK singles chart number one with ‘Changed The Way You Kissed Me’.
The London-born rapper – real name Elliot Gleave – ended Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack’s three-week reign atop the rankings after shifting over 115,000 copies of his first solo track of 2011.
At three this week is newly-announced X Factor USA judge Nicole Scherzinger and her 50 Cent collaboration ‘Right There’, which becomes the Pussycat Doll’s third consecutive solo top five hit after climbing from last Sunday’s 14.
Elsewhere, Coldplay make their triumphant return to the top 40 at six with ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’, while former chart-toppers ‘Party Rock Anthem’ by LMFAO and ‘The Lazy Song’ by Bruno Mars trip three apiece to seven and eight.
In the double digits, Dev’s ‘Bass Down Low’ advances two places from 12 to enter the Top 10 for the first time, as Chris Brown and Benny Benassi fall out of it with ‘Beautiful People’, which is down four to 11.

Also gaining ground are the Black Eyed Peas with ‘Don’t Stop The Party’, which climbs 13 places to 17 and lands one number behind Alex Gaudino’s Kelly Rowland team-up ‘What A Feeling’, down from six to 16.
