DJ Fresh and Kosheen star Sian Evans have stormed to the top of the UK singles chart with ‘Louder’.
The 34-year-old drum and bass artist – real name Daniel Stein – saw his track hit pole position after selling over 140,000 copies in just seven days. The figure is more than double that of this week’s runner-up, ‘How We Roll’ by Loick Essien.
‘Louder’ becomes the second-fastest selling single of 2011 after Bruno Mars’s former number one ‘Grenade’, which shifted in excess of 149,000 copies in January.
Beyond the new entries is a major top five shake-up, as Ed Sheeran forces his way to three from last week’s six with ‘The A Team’, Example slips from the runner-up spot to four with ‘Changed The Way You Kissed Me’ and previous number one ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ by Jason Derülo crashes down to five.
Beyoncé, Calvin Harris and Pitbull, meanwhile, fall three apiece to occupy spots six to eight with respective tracks ‘Best Thing I Never Have’, ‘Bounce’ and ‘Give Me Everything’.

Elsewhere, Coldplay’s brief return to the Top 10 comes to an end as the buzz surrounding their Glastonbury appearance finally starts to subside. Their comeback track ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ is down four to 14.
At 16 this week is Vato Gonzalez and ‘Badman Riddim (Jump)’, down five from last Sunday’s 11, while the team-up of David Guetta, Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida settle in next door after climbing nine places to 17 with ‘Where Them Girls At?’.
Finally, Nicole Scherzinger and 50 Cent trip four entries to 19 with ‘Right There’ and Aloe Blacc completes the top 20 with ‘I Need A Dollar’, which last week finished in 13th place.
