It came after a patient presented at the surgery on Thursday
A Coventry doctors surgery underwent a cleaning procedure last night (Thursday) over potential coronavirus concerns.
A patient presented at Cheylesmore Surgery, on Quinton Park, and the decision was taken to follow national guidelines over any "suspected case of covid-19".
Once the surgery closed its doors at 6pm, staff "conducted a clean of the surgery as a routine precautionary measure".
This led to Cheylesmore Surgery having to rearrange any evening appointments as part of its extended access service.
However, the GP centre opened as normal on Friday morning.
The Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has told CoventryLive that there are no confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus in the Coventry area.
