Graves under water again at flooded Nuneaton cemeteryDevastated relatives say a regularly flood-hit cemetery was "the worst they had ever seen" - with some graves left completely underwater.
Gary Youson had gone to Attleborough Cemetery to lay flowers at the grave of his much-missed mum Margaret on her birthday yesterday (February 25).
But he was left heartbroken at the sight that greeted him.
"I know we have had a lot of rain, I appreciate that, but yesterday was the worst I have ever seen it," he said.
"I wanted to take some flowers down to my mum's grave as it was her birthday but I couldn't even get down there.
"Some graves were underwater, you could barely get down the paths."
Mr Youson said he had complained to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
He added: "One chap, who always sits at a bench, couldn't even sit there as there was so much water around it.
"It's disgusting really, we have complained before and nothing happened.
"I phoned the council to complain again yesterday and was told that they had had a lot of complaints but nothing has been done.
"They keep saying they are going to do something but it never happens.
"It is really upsetting, it is just not nice to see."
He said he and his four sisters will be lodging another formal complaint to the Town Hall in regards to the situation.
"We just want them to do something," he said.
