An artisan tea shop serving up the "finest Taiwanese tea" is opening in Coventry city centre.

T4 - founded in Taiwan in 2004 - already has nine shops across the United Kingdom and is now opening in Broadgate.

The shop is already fitted out and the signs are up.

But an opening date has not yet been revealed, with posters only saying it is "coming soon".

Ahead of the opening, we look at what you can expect from the new store.

The tea is prepared from the finest tea leaves – whole leaves, never tea bags or powder - and steeped for 90 minutes by their professional brewers.

It is grown by T4 in the hills and mountains of Taiwan at "precisely the right altitudes".

The business also says it focuses on using the very best natural ingredients.

The attention to detail continues in store, with artisan tea prepared in small batches where the temperature and other conditions are carefully managed.

If it's not perfect, they make a whole new batch!

The T4 website states: "Our experts are deeply passionate about the quality of the leaves that they prepare for you."

Everything from bubble/jelly milk teas to speciality teas, green teas, fruit teas, smoothies and milkshakes.

Prices range from £2 to £3.80.

Their best seller is the Elegant Lady Rose Tea, which took a whole year of research and development to create.

Natural rose petals are added to perfect the taste of this sweet, soft and fragrant Jadeite Royal Tea.

It requires more than a thousand roses to extract just 1cc of essence, with 360 hours of aging.

T4 already have stores in Oxford, Canary Wharf, Bristol, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Guildford, the University of Glasgow, Westfield Stratford and Westfield Shepherds Bush.

Where is this shop? £3.8 for a cuppa, they can stuff that. We have never used tea bags at home. Way behind the times I expect but we prefer tea brewed in a pot.

It's under the Leofric as far as I can tell?

I don't use tea bags either. My dad's side is one of the few tea-drinking families in Holland. I didn't find out until recently, had always wondered who I got it from before that.

I drink neither tea nor coffee: I haven't for years. Stuff tastes awful to me these days.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
