Armed police and a police dog were called into action last night
Armed police were called into action following reports of a robbery in Bedworth.
Warwickshire Police’s dog section and the crew of an Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) worked together to catch four suspects last night, Thursday, April 4.
They were alerted by CCTV operators who spotted a robbery taking place in Mill Street.
The 15-year-old victim, who has not been identified but is a boy, was attacked and had his bag stolen.
Police dog Delta stopped three suspects and a fourth was apprehended by armed officers.
Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, all from Coventry, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police told Coventry Live all four were still in custody on Friday morning.
The boys are also being questioned in connection with a robbery in High Street, Bedworth, at 10.25pm on Wednesday (3 April). In this incident a teenage boy was attacked and had his phone stolen.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
