Larry Broadhurst sadly passed away on the 7th June after a long battle with cancer. Many of you will remember Larry from iccoventry, and he also briefly posted on here.

Larry was born in Coventry but emigrated to the states many years ago - but never forgot his roots. He was a true gent.

God bless you Larry - RIP. x x x

Oh my God I'm devastated.

Although Larry wasn't up to posting very often he was one of the first members to register here and a loyal reader from the outset. He was a very dignified person and had the decency to resign as a moderator from icCoventry when it became clear he would not be able log-in there very often.

I didn't want milk it while he was alive but Larry was once an employee of the Dutch airline with which my mother's family had a very strong connection.

Our deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed by everyone with the good fortune to know him while he was alive.

RIP Larry :friends:

He was most certainly a true gent.

RIP Sir.

I am absolutely devasted over my good buddies passing although I never had the pleasure of meeting Larry, I hold very many memories of the chats/posts on ic coventry I had with him
One thread that we practically dominated between us on ic were our personal recollections of WW2 and the repercussions that it brought about to families etc; but Larry was a gem inasmuch that he never uttered a bad word/post in all the time he was on the 2 forums and that was a plus to me and the L'Pool lads, who posted with him on ic, were dismayed when I relayed the sad news and there was many a glass raised to his memory by the Scousers and we gave him the "Honorary Scouser" accolade although he was a "Coventry Kid" and very proud of his roots
Wherever you are Larry, keep 'em flying and one day yours truly will step off the plane and we can really get together over a jar

R.I.P Larry
Your Good Buddy Stevie
