A Coventry man will sign the sex offender's register for five years after touching a woman in a sexual manner without her consent

Grant Henneberry-Power, 24, of Westminster Road, Spon End, admitted the crime when he appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over in a sexual manner when she did not consent following an incident in Coventry on August 29.

Henneberry-Power also admitted charges of possession of cocaine and assaulting a police officer on the same date.

As well as registering as a sex offender, he was handed a community order including a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay a total of £100 compensation (£50 to the sexual offence victim and £50 to the police officer).

He was also fined £80 for having the cocaine and told to pay £135 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
