A man has been charged with two car key burglaries in a matter of hours in Nuneaton.
Jack Andrew Bennett, aged 19, of Mount Street, was arrested following two alleged incidents on Thursday May 24.
The first took place at 4.50am. It was reported that a man allegedly entered a house on Kenilworth Drive and stole the keys to a car before fleeing in the vehicle.
A short time later, police received a report of a car on its roof on Queen Elizabeth Road.
Officers established that the car had allegedly been stolen from Bottrill Street after someone entered a house and took the keys.
Bennett was later charged with two counts of burglary, one count of taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, two counts of driving without insurance, two counts of driving without a licence and aggravated vehicle taking.
