Major road in Coventry closed after 'serious accident'

A main road in Coventry is closed this morning after a car overturned.

Emergency services were at the scene on Keresley Road in Coundon shortly before 9am this morning.

The road was closed this morning due to an overturned car, which was blocking one side of Keresley Road.

Several resources were sent from West Midlands Ambulance Service, and West Midlands Fire Service were also there to help if anyone was trapped in the vehicle.

Fire crews and other emergency service personnel were pictured surrounding the car which somehow ended up on its roof.

In the image taken from the scene, only one vehicle can be seen, however the amount of vehicles involved haven't been confirmed.

The number of patients treated by the ambulance service is also unknown.

One resident said they heard the bang around 8.20am.
