Police have issued an urgent appeal following news that an elderly woman in Coventry has gone missing from her residential care home.

Madeline King has not been seen since leaving Knightlow Lodge in Willenhall , yesterday morning, just before 10am.

The 74-year-old is known to frequent the Brandon and Binley Woods areas of the city, in addition to visiting Kenilworth .

West Midlands Police have described Madeline as white, 5ft 5ins, with short dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a pale complexion.

She also gets around with the aid of a four-wheeled frame, and is known to be a regular bus user.

The last time that she was seen, she was wearing a long dark-blue skirt with a flower pattern and a cream top with short sleeves.

Staff at the care home are fearful for her welfare, as she has diabetes.

Local patrol units have been on the lookout, but have been unable to locate her in the surrounding area.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Madeline is asked to call West Midlands Police’s Locate Team on the 101 number quoting log number 3186 from May 5.
