A man has been charged on suspicion of dangerous driving
A man has been charged with dangerous driving following a police pursuit in Coventry last night.
A number of police cars and the force helicopter were called after a car reportedly failed to stop for officers in Wyken at around 1am.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the pursuit took place on a number of streets including Wyken Way, Hermes Crescent, Henley Road, Broad Park Road, Winston Avenue, Lynmouth Road and Ansty Road, before coming to an end on Attoxhall Road.
A man was arrested nearby and police have now charged 28-year-old Carl Shurey in connection with the incident.
Shurey, of Attoxhall Road, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence and insurance.
He has been bailed to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on March 22.
