I take pics from up there from time to time. The blue bridge is classic Coventry town planning. The access ramps for the disabled, cyclists etc. are not symmetrical. The one on Upper Hill Street leads from the bridge to the gates of St Osburgs school and is a proper eyesore - I fully understand why the school were so cheesed off with being ignored in the planning consultations. But hey! This is Coventry and we can expect no less from our glorious town planners can we? :clown:

Isn't it weird the way the picture distorts perspective so landmark buildings I know to be quite distant from each other appear to be neighbours?

How does that ramp affect the security of the school? Is it going to be filled in so that people can't see into the playground?

I think the green things visible on the upper part of the ramp fence are there to block the view into the school playground.

I actually like the bridge but they clearly lost the plot with the ramp - why they couldn't zig-zag it like the other side is beyond me.
