Marvin Parnell threatened the officers the day before his 41st birthday
A man who threatened two police officers with a starter pistol has been jailed for three years.
Marvin James Parnell was arrested following an incident in the Pump Room Gardens, in Leamington town centre, at around 11.25am on November 1.
He appeared at magistrates court the next day - his 41st birthday - when the case was sent to the crown court.
Parnell, of no fixed address but formerly of Leamington, eventually pleaded guilty to making use of an imitation firearm with intent to resist arrest.
The weapon Parnell brandished at the two officers was a .22 calibre starter pistol.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court today to three years in jail and ordered to pay a £170 victim surcharge.
