Home of crash victim ransacked within hours of son's death
Sick thieves ransacked the home of a Coventry man less than 24 hours after he was killed in a horrific car crash.
Jordan Taylor Howell died after the car he was travelling in on his way to work struck a tree in Binley Road, Stoke Green, last Thursday.
And while his loved ones were trying to comprehend not ever seeing the 25-year-old again, they received the sickening news that Jordan’s flat in Tile Hill had been robbed.
The culprits had broken in and “taken everything” including his clothes, furniture and sentimental items, and had even packed up food from the cupboards, his distraught family has revealed.
As well as wanting justice for their son, his family paid tribute to Jordan, who was also known as JT, saying he would “give you the shirt off his back”.
ordan’s heartbroken mum, Jennie, said: “I had a phone call the next morning to say someone had broken into his flat.
“They had ransacked the place and took everything. They had taken the table and chairs, his clothes and shoes.
“They had even bagged his food up and put it in a suitcase, so they hadn’t just taken the normal stuff.
“They also stole a watch that was my dad’s and had been given to Jordan by my mum after my dad had died, and also a World War One medal that was my great great grandfather’s.
“We now just have a few clothes of Jordan’s and bits and bobs. They have robbed us of any comfort of him and memories.
“I want everyone to know what happened and what these dirty, dirty people have done.
“I want these people caught and everyone to know that they were stealing from a dead 25-year-old man.
“I want justice for my son.”
Jordan’s mobile phone has also been missing since the crash, and his aunt Kerri, who said that “everybody loved” Jordan, added: “He died and 12 hours later these people were in his flat stealing from him.
“They have left us with nothing. It is disgusting.”
