Britain’s Got Talent finalist Leeroy Bailey “poses a risk” to boys under the age of 18, a judge has ruled.

The former dance teacher from Coventry, who reached the final of the ITV talent show in 2007, was sentenced today after pleading guilty to making two indecent images of children.

Bailey, 36, of Heera Close, Foleshill, entered his guilty plea last month and a probation report was prepared ahead of today’s sentencing at Warwick Crown Court.

He was given a three-year community order which will involve “intense rehabilitation”.

Passing sentence, Recorder David Herbert QC told Bailey: “You should have known what you were doing was seriously wrong.

“You need to learn the boundaries of what is acceptable.

“You would have seen these as being sexual images and for that reason in my view you do pose a risk to boys under 18 years old.”

Bailey was handed a three-year community order with two requirements: to complete a sex offender programme and 40 days of a rehabilitation activity requirement.

The judge said: “It will be intense rehabilitation I am told and I hope you benefit from it in the future.

“If you don’t abide by these terms and requirements you may be held in breach of the order and re-sentenced for these offences.”
